Speakers go "Crackle Crackle"

I rarley ever turn my computer off, but last night, it was so hot, i turned if off. When i woke up this morning, i turned it on, once windows started up, the speakers started "Crackling". I was pretty pissed, now that the computer has been on for like 10 mins, it's almost stopped, but not completley. What would cause that?

It's odd though, it just happened last night, and it ONLY happens once windows starts up. It dosent happen during bios startup or at windows startup screen.

could have crisped a circuit, causing the static. Anyhow, I'd do a dustbunny removal/ thermal paste check on your system.

Why would the crackling stop AFTER the computer was running for like 10-20 mins? Maybe the shit on the sound card needed time to expand with heat Q_Q

mine does that too, i just ignore it, cause i never hear it after windows default theme on loadup.

try to re-install your sound drivers maybe? since it only happens after windows start up I'd think that could do it

Random hardware tardiness. My old monitor would turn on, start windows sharp, get really blurry to the point of uneligable reading, then randomly 5-10mins later it would make a pop noise and be sharp again!

Test the same line with Headphones, and then other speakers, if you get the same crackle it's the card, if not then it's the speakers.

mine make that noise when the PC is off.. (My speakers are powered seperately)

I just turn em off when i shut down the PC every night

Yea, I shoulda been smart and put the headphones on to see if it was the speakers or computer. Ah well, i'll give it a shot when i turn off my computer again in a month haha.
