As for Dark Rider being supposed to or not supposed to drop anything, it's hard to say what's in SE's minds, sometimes.

People used to think AV wasn't meant to be killed.

Whatever method that theoretically could be used to kill Dark Rider, however abstract or glitchy, you can't really say for sure SE intends for him to not be killed, though it certainly looks that way.

Someone screenshat their BLU absorbing Dark Rider's invincibility with Voracious Trunk and proceeded to solo it. It was fake then and fake now.

Even if the Dark Rider can be hurt doesn't he instant cast death? I saw people having him 99% supposedly through Dia but the other thing is we have no clue he might have like 100000hp/tick regen.
