Oh well they all work, but some just stop working after a few plays which is kind of annoying, so i'm looking into better quality DVDs that might last longer than that against the PS2's laser.

Seriously stop being such crybabies, it works wonders and you don't even have to open the cover of your PS2 to get it to work, I don't see what the big deal is.

Sure beats giving your PS2 some moron at the back of a shop and have him solder it for you/try and solder the chip by yourself (btw, I had a modded fat PS2 a while back, same PS2 I used for FFXI until it died, and so both work exactly the same only here you have to load a cd before you load the actual game... big fucking whoopie.)

Well with Matrix Infinity you don't need any CD's or DVD's. You just load the copied game, and bam. No lag, no errors, no problems from what my friend tells me.

That's how they all work. But this costs 30 bucks, has you load up a cd before your import/backup, and still has no lag, bugs, etc. So what's the big deal? It only takes 5 more seconds, and 1 more X click on your part.

Nah, the HD loader is a little application that you can install in a memory card, it triggers from there, no fuss. Things you need to have:

Fat PS2 (<3 fatty)
Network Adapter
A HD, either the one that came with FFXI or you can buy a compatible one.
A PC
1 PS 1 trigger disc
PS 2 Memory card
Swap Magic
1 Brain, preferably raw.

Here's a guide, couldn't find the one I used since I'm about to go to class, MC exploit. Don't let the wall-o-text scare the crap out of you, check it so you'll know what you are getting into lol.

Ok I placed my order using my friends card, but it said order failed. BUT the card was charged, money was taken. I have no idea if I will be even getting my shit, this is incredibly sketchy. I sent an e-mail to support a few minutes ago, they damn well better tell me wtf is going on.

No he says it's already charged, I tried reordering but he doesn't have enough on his account to do so since we used up what I deposited into it. Ugh this is ridiculous I wish they had a phone number.

WASHINGTON -- Federal customs agents Wednesday raided more than 30 businesses and homes in 16 states, looking for devices that allow pirated video games to play on Wiis, PlayStation 2s and Xboxes.

The alleged sale and distribution of illegal modification chips and copyright circumvention devices for the popular consoles and others included 32 search warrants in 16 states, said the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

ICE declined to release the names of those targeted but said they are allegedly responsible for importing, installing, selling and distributing foreign-made devices smuggled into the U.S.

Illegal chips and other devices used on gaming consoles violate the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998. Sales of counterfeit or illegally obtained games costs the industry about $3 billion a year globally, not including Internet piracy, estimates the Entertainment Software Association trade group.

Piracy losses for Nintendo and its game developers and publishers likely totaled $762 million last year alone, said Jodi Daugherty, senior director of anti-piracy at Redmond, Wash.-based Nintendo America.

Daugherty's five-person team coordinates global anti-piracy efforts for Nintendo's Japan-based parent company. Since April, the company has helped law enforcement agencies worldwide seize 61,000 counterfeit Wii modification chips, she said.

Wednesday's federal raids came after a yearlong investigation conducted by ICE's Office of the Assistant Special Agent in Charge in Cleveland, which coordinated with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Ohio and the Department of Justice's Computer Crimes and Intellectual Property Section. ICE said it also received assistance from companies and industry trade groups.

"Illicit devices like the ones targeted today are created with one purpose in mind, subverting copyright protections," Julie L. Myers, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for ICE, said in a release. "These crimes cost legitimate businesses billions of dollars annually and facilitate multiple other layers of criminality, such as smuggling, software piracy and money laundering."

Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft Corp. issued a statement applauding ICE's efforts to reduce piracy and protect the gaming industry's intellectual property. A company spokeswoman would not divulge Microsoft's individual piracy losses.

The raids were conducted in: California, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin.

Shares of Microsoft added 8 cents to $29.07 in afternoon trading, while Sony Corp. dipped 87 cents to $51.87.

The 3rd piece refuses to stay in. I can tape it down a lot, but then it randomly decides to come off in the middle of games. I tried to super glue it, it worked for a few months until I accidentally closed the top on my ps2 (slim) which somehow reset the position of the 3rd key, which led to a few days of hell of trying to get the fucking super glue out.

not getting my ps2 chipped for another month or two, this is pissing me off so much; ;

lol I had the same problem, you just have to take the piece out and mess with it a little bit... bend it so the bottom part will lean down even more, so when you press the piece down on the little button in there (and it's really small, so obviously it'll be hard for you to find it and it will come off if your piece isn't in the right spot) it will stick down, then tape it.

I haven't touched that piece in like 2 months and it never stopped working.
