I'm just trying to figure out how a misogynist is qualified to be anywhere near an abortion debate.
Until you start to understand your own misogamy you won't figure it out![]()

Let me say this in black and white: Abortion is not about making the best decision for YOU or the MOTHER, it's about the CHILD and what their life would be. Are they going to grow up in a household that does not want them, neglects them, shuns them and doesn't care whether they walk when their 12 months old or 3 years old. Doesn't care if they shit there pants cause they don't wanna clean it up, doesn't feed them properly or take care of it cause they wanna have their social life? Or is it going to be a household that after deciding to have the child dedicates their life to making that kids life better than their own.
THAT is why there should be abortion, because to many kids are growing up in households that treat them like a damn nuissance and just tries to shut them up all day.
Focus on the reasons why that kid should either be born or not be born, and less on whether or not it inconveniences her for 9 months and a paycheck down the road for you.
If you find it non-intuitive that someone could handle pregnancy, child raising, their career, interpersonal relationships, and still find it to the movie theater without their hand being held or a drag out fight on the street.. yes.Originally Posted by Xavier
I know plenty of women that handle all these things and more with class.
The whole point of that was clear and I stand by it, you can't have it both ways. I can go over it again if you would like.Originally Posted by Xavier

WTF at this thread now.
You're rambling. I said a woman had a far more difficult time with the decision than a man, as the changes were in their body, not yours, and you called any woman who couldn't handle childbirth a dumb white bitch.Originally Posted by Devek
I'm not sure how being able to find the movie theater is part of this discussion. It is clear, however, that anyone who doesn't live up to your expectations is a dumb white bitch, gotcha.
And by the way, thats not love, thats intolerance.

I'd think women would be pissed off if someone was presumptuous enough to call them dumb white bitches for struggling with a very difficult process on their body, and the future life of their child. But you're right, I'm sure you've done enough to pass judgment on anyone who doesn't follow your lead.
Why is that? If a man couldn't handle the same things (minus the pregnancy obviously) he would be called a loser. If I expect the same out of a woman I'm a intolerant woman hater? Why is it wrong to expect something out of a woman? Smells sexist to me.Originally Posted by Xavier

However, stopping them from assuming independent life so you can spare them the suffering without killing them could be a good thing.
And how the hell do you know they'll have every possible opportunity to recover from it?Originally Posted by Devek

Smells ignorant to me. You're aware we're talking about a woman being pregnant, yes? There is no way for a man to claim a woman is a dumb white bitch for struggling with being pregnant, when a man has never had to be pregnant.Originally Posted by Devok
And you keep trying to bring up other aspects of life, expecting women to match men in all of society, and calling me sexist for giving them a break. Yes, I'm giving them a break, for something I've never had to, nor never will have to physically endure.
A man hasn't had to handle pregnancy, so they sure as fuck shouldn't pass judgment on what it does to a woman, or demean them if they find it difficult.
You missed out on a lot of life by having a child so young, and you think it gave you perspective but all it did was make you bitter.
Thats whats great about America. Lots of people grow up with the odds stacked against them and at some point they make a choice to not let that decide their future and live wonderful lives as a result. Lots of people glide into the world on a rainbow with teddy bears and with every opportunity afforded to them decide to throw their life away on drugs.Originally Posted by Xavier
That choice ultimately lies with the child when they grow up.
There is no scientific evidence that women have some advantage when it comes to dealing with pain (some suggests otherwise).Originally Posted by Xavier
We're not talking about it being a little "difficult", we're talking about it being such a burden it justifies killing a baby.
Nothing about my daughter made me bitter, period. You can perceive my personality however you want, but bitter isn't the word I would use to describe nor would it accurate to blame her for any of it since my anger has to do with something totally different I don't even talk about here since its not relevant and ongoing.Originally Posted by Xavier

Devek, what on earth are you talking about? Real women don't need directions, because real women use google maps? A woman is only a real woman if she has babies? Men are either 100% equally represented in all aspects of childbirth from conception to birth or 100% blameless and faultless in all aspects of childbirth from conception to birth?
I'm not even gonna touch on that "real woman" garbage, because it's a bunch of misogynist garbage.
The fact of the matter is, however, that men are not an equal part of carrying children and giving birth. Between the time of conception and the time of childbirth, a father plays no role in the development of a baby. Their role is limited to support of the mother, which is important and appreciated, but is obviously not necessary for a baby to thrive in the womb, or we'd have significantly less children being raised by a single parent. That is why the choice ultimately does and should rest with women about whether or not they want to have a child. It's not just about the baby, although that it the primary concern. It is also, to some degree, about her body, which is why we have abortions in the case of rape/incest/health risks. Yes, it can be a selfish choice, but very very few women opt for the emotional ramifications of an abortion just because they don't want to lose their figure.
You are trivializing being raised in an abusive home just as much as you have trivialized childbirth earlier in this thread. How many stories do we read daily about people who have criminally neglected their children, leading to undernourishment, physical and psychological developmental problems, and sometimes death? Can we honestly say that it's better for a child to be born and microwaved to death, or shaken to death, or smothered to death in an abusive fit by a parent just trying to make them stop crying? That shit is fucking terrible, and those are just a handful of things that parents do to children that would cause the children to be removed from their care by child protective services or death. A lifetime of physical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse in my opinion is not something that a child should be subjected to just because it made someone that they don't know feel icky. Something like 1 in 5 female children and 1 in 10 male children are sexually abused, and more often than not it is by someone who is a part of their family or very close to their family. It happens more often than it should, more often than you would expect, and it does continue to affect people and their emotional well-being into adulthood. No one points a gun to your head and forces you to live, but you get to make that choice. Tons of people come from hard background and grow up to be happy and well adjusted. I think they would be pissed if someone was presumptions enough to assume their life wasn't worth living in the first place because their parents didn't buy them a pony.
I don't think that you were raised in an abusive household, or you wouldn't trivialize the effects and severity of child abuse. It's not about children being raised in a home where they don't get everything they want; it's about children being raised in an environment where they don't get everything they need for their physical and emotional development.

You assume that the only reason a baby is aborted is because its a burden to the mother. Decisions are made for a plethora of reasons, and focusing on any single one (especially the most superficial, least influential part) is going to be terribly, terribly skewed.
In 10 years, if your daughter comes to you crying, saying shes made a mistake and wants an abortion, I hope to god you don't stare at her, call her a dumb white bitch, and disown her in the name of love.Originally Posted by Devek
