T0 crafting preferences

I know I'm setting myself up here for some major criticism......oh well.

I'm just curious as to everyone's personal habits on Tier Zero shots at HQs. I'm about 4 levels away from starting attempts at cursed mitts-1 for myself, with the mats for about half of those skillups currently muled. In terms of skillup, I've always preferred saving materials for a long time then going bonkers on a skillup (as I did with lowball buying wamoura cocoons for about 6 weeks and muling close to 250 of them, as one example).

But now that I'm facing such huge losses on the NQ product (and at least on my server, pandemonium, I'm essentially preparing for 100% loss as the market is completely flooded- if I weren't doing these for personal use, I probably wouldn't even bother with the synth), I'm curious as to how others approach it- synth when you get the mats on hand for 1-2 synths? Save up for a stack? More?

No, I'm not curious on your days/moons/whatever beliefs you have (unless you care to leave them- I have my own beliefs on these things and the small {if any} effect they may have), just your synthing habits and how you prepare. Are you a session synther or a "mats on hand" synther? For the CC'ers out there, what sources have you tapped for siren hairs now that solo farming them is out of the question thanks to RMT owning of SSG and the SE patch? Any other thoughts or suggestions? As always, all help or opinions are greatly appreciated.

I have to admit i expected this thread to be full of fail but I dont think its too bad. As for strategy -> generally for tier 1 ill synth when i have 10+ attempts. Tier 0 however tend to sell very slow and for the most part HQing them is more luck than % (That may not be as clear as I intended, im comparing tier 0 and tier 1). So just find the sell rate of whatever it is that you are trying to HQ and try not to keep too many on hand depending on your gil on hand. Hope that helps.

I've seen some guys NQing/breaking like 50 weskits in a row, 3 boxing mules to get all the ingredients ready.
For tier0, i'm doing streaks of 4
I guess if you dont have the luck that day, theres no point doing 40 (thats just me tho)
All the genie weskits I made happened during small sessions, and I tried some big ass synths too (like 20-30 at once)
For the mitts -1, i'm 0/54 now... tried few times 12 synth, and the others well, just when AH was flooded with sirens and you can get them 50-60k cheaper, i'd usually go with 3-5 try
Same strategy to sell NQ^^ on gilgamesh they're between 70k (when theres like 10-12 up AH) and 150k. Just gotta keep an eye on them (hi FFXIah! 8) ) and try to sell thoses bastards around 130-150k when theres a low number of them up AH
luck rules it all; ive known someone that bought 2 sirens, traveled nicely to the CC guild and snapped 2/2 HQ

tried 12 in a row once, didn't Hqed
