August Update

The next FINAL FANTASY XI version update is scheduled to take place near the end of August.
We are currently planning to introduce the Pit, the Chocobo Circuit, new quests and Assault missions, not to mention the final chapters of the Aht Urhgan storyline!

Details on these features, as well as a host of other changes and additions, will be released in the near future.

None of the first notes are generally ever exciting and usually are very vague. I just feel like the most exiciting part of this expansion will now be overshadowed by wings of the goddess right around the corner and don't think we'll see much "omgwtfbbq" I hope I am wrong about that though.

I can't say I'm really interested in the Pit (Monster Fights? Big Falcon Deal.), but I can't wait to see the end of the story. I'm sure SE will deliver, the last update fixed a lot of the little things, so even if we don't get anything truly game-changing, the game itself could be further streamlined.

We concluded that it's hopeless to think that the Choco Circuit will interconnect the 5 cities, right?

Also, I wonder if there's going to be an October update. I'm guessing there will be, to introduce the final Assault missions (they just said "new" Assault missions) and ToA's AN (Aht Urhgan mission completion + final merc. rank as the requirements, maybe?).

EDIT: By interconnect I mean allow travel between.

I read it as:

Zalius(probably sarcastically): Not until BLM can participate (because Square Enix always nerfs BLM amirite? wheres my BLM update!!!1)

If I am correct, it was more of a jab towards a certain poster who would post in each update thread asking for BLM changes
