Tru dat on G3, I still laugh when people shout for help, I mean I solo'd it with relative ease. The only hard part was death running past the door in CO. Everything else was just being sneaky.Originally Posted by Bakthi
And on give mah brds for Einherjar, you realize BLU can sleep and crowd control pretty well right? I have done alot with sheep song and temporal shift every time I have done it.
RMT do limbus on Diabolos. They sell the beastcoins and nashira/homam pieces.Originally Posted by Max™
Given the large amounts of Assault maps unused in each zone. I'm starting to expect that the endgame fights might be instanced there.. Unless they have another 5+ merc ranks to throw out.
tag -> assault points
tag -> nyzul isle
assault points-> gear
assault points-> salvage
The tag system is a rather nice limit of activity frequency.
My take on the grand aspect of FFXI is that ToAU is going to go down as the expansion SE started to listen to their players(for the most part) and stop trying to impose their will on the playerbase saying "this is how is gonna be whether you like it or not". Genkai is just one of those things that imo was un-needed, if your a newb just starting in this age of FFXI its very hard to get those things done. I tried to get rl friends, friends from other mmo's into FFXI and they just found the whole experience a nightmare between genkai, not being able to find groups for rank 3 dragon/other missions so they quit.
This is like having your cake and eating it to.I'm just happy when nerfs don't involve making things worse for us.
I've always found G1-5 very cool. They really show your growth. I wish the game had more of them actually, early on. However, Genkei requiring an alliance is not going to be a good thing, so I agree with G2 being weakened. With G1, they could have always added a 30-60 minute easy NM who was 100% drop, but I guess this works too.
I got all three Crests sneaking around by myself without dying (or even fighting anything). A Yag High Priest pwned me 3 seconds after I got the final one in CO though.Originally Posted by Kaslo
G2 I went with another SMN friend to see if we could duo it. We could, picking an avatar that wouldn't be hurt by the particular element the mob casts helps quite a bit too.Originally Posted by BRP

Actually, way back when, BST was my first job to 50 and I decided to go solo G1. Headed into the Necropolis and just barely managed to solo a Lich, and whaddaya know, it dropped the Papyrus, lol! After that of course I felt I had to go solo the Coal and the Mold, and they took me the entire frickin weekend.![]()
Just to clarify, I wasn't actually bitching about RMT, I was just stating that AU really has a lot of endgame as is, with a wide variety of gear, high end stuff to shoot for, more accessible but less awesome stuff, etc.
Adding another area like Sea/Sky might fit, but does anyone else REALLY think its necessary?
Dear Square Enix,
It has come to the Siren Server's attention that in the upcoming Version Update you plan to make Besieged Easier. We would like to lodge a formal complaint. As it stands now we find no difficulty in the settings you currently offer. As we often time fend of the hordes of evil with 350 people, most of which are level 50-65 just trying smoooze a little xp on jobs they don’t really feel like leveling. If at all possible we would like you to cease and desist with this upcoming change, and modify it so that it might actually pose a challenge. Members of our council have suggested speeding up the time in-between attacks, and allowing two or more armies to attack us at the same time. At this current time we've yet to experience life in Aht Urghan without the luxury of the Astral Condesence. So in closing we respectfully request that the minions of evil fucking bring it on.
Siren.
"that the minions of evil fucking bring it on" lol, nice.
Carby was undefeated for a while, then we got a maxed (was still 7 at that time) at Noon CST or so, 113 people in zone at the start.... didn't go to well.
speaking on behalf of Hades, I hereby second this - since we rarely survive a full round of level 8's anyway it's not like we'll ever have to worry about level 9+ (whatever it takes for you guys) anyway.Originally Posted by Munkey

Seems doubtful they'll add another sky/sea. Seems like Salvage/Nyzul/Assault/Einj has end game activities in ToAu covered.
Sky is easily a flawed system and Sea was very much so one at some point. Assault, Nyzul, and Salvage are gigantic improvements over them in terms of actual content. Now Einherjar vs Dynamis, we'll have to see what final adjustments them make.Originally Posted by Epyslon
Sky just couldn't handle the large number of people farming it although for its time it was a damn good system. Kings on the other hand is a beyond retarded system, they made the end game alot worse when they sped up leveling so fast in ToAU that literally a new king ls pops up every other week. SE dev's say in various interview's they gave us "choices" but really should be saying "everything but ridill and d.ring" which is why 130-150 people show up to a faf even when nid can't pop.
I'm amazed anyone would really think there is going to be an endgame zone added with final chapters of ToAU, or that those same people will probably bitch when the last updates come out and they dont add something. No large scale endgame content came out prior to Jailers with CoP, that was one thing people were annoyed with at the time, that it took all that time and when they finally added Sea barely anyone really spent time there until they added Limbus because it didnt seem worth the time. All they did this time was add endgame content a little along the way instead of making people wait. To complain and expect more after having Salvage added, it just doesnt make sense to me. People who will bitch about more additions at this point just prove you can never make everyone happy.
I'm telling you, to make the people that still think we're going to endgame area from ToAU shut up, they should add something where you pop NMs in tiers (with the first pop items coming from Assault/Salvage?) in Alzadaal, and you can only do it after you're past a certain AU mission and a certain merc. rank. It's also like Garrison/EF in that only others with the same qualifications can participate, and people outside of the party can't help. (At least, I think the 2 are like that.)
Does the Wiki keep records of our level 2 losses with full Generals? We call them wins on Hades, but nobody else thinks so.Originally Posted by Amele
