I really hope this update isn't half assed, CoP ending was so awesome that it will be hard to beat. I hope the final clash in the story is as epic as SE has been building it up. The reward hopefully will be some item you can't see(rings, back, waist, ammo, earring, turban is bad enough look-wise. A crown would be sorta lame to see everyone having one.

Bsts, the second class citizens they've always been, poor bastards.

So yeah, Fuck Yeah! Bubbly Bernie! is awesomesauce in a can.

As for TP burn speculation stupidity.

I thought Chr really only aided Bst on killer traits and very marginally on charms. Just nvr seen many Bsts use the crown.

CHR is like ACC, the more CHR you have, the better chance you have to charm something.
Charm+ makes the charm last longer.
If youre agaisnt higer level mobs and have trouble charming them, you want CHR. I usually use a Charm+ set with CHR in slots that dont have Charm+, and if I fail a charm, I switch to my CHR set.

And your right, many BST dont wear it as AF1/2 helms are usually a better choice, plus you can eat actual food.

The only time I wear it is when I sub BST, or im doing things that I must not fail a charm on, like escorts or killing NMs.

The Charm+ on the Beast Helm is debateable with some camps versus the Crown, but I know in my BST LS the Crown is a rite of passage in a way.

Most of them don't care for Dynamis cause well, lolbstrelic.

that still wouldnt effect Ridill burns that much I think.. good 3 ridill 2 brd pts should be able to drop a colibri fast enough to keep chain by just swinging imo

and if they did the whole 2 weapon skill + MB some people have suggested on colibri.. hate to see nukes that dont kill it reflect and pwn someone in pt >.>

I remember the start of an infinite chain at 61 at the Leypoint.

We basically all saved our TP for our own mob, and our chain died when the next guy to Rampage got tickled.

Straight up melee is too random to ensure you will kill the mob and keep chain for most parties at least, more time hacking at the thing, more TP for it, more time it can WS, eat shadows, food, wipe more TP, etc.

    Re: August Update

    Gonna go with...

    A) Glory Crown
    B) Lv100 Weapon in Nyzul Isle
    C) ISP Rank item from Top Rank
    D) 100 Imperial Gold Coins
    E) One of those 15k Items from Einherjar
    F) Incus Cell from Salvage
    G) 100 Chocobucks
    H) ??? Sword/Polearm/Weapon-of-some-type from Assault

    =

    I) Weapon that is just slightly moderately better than anything else in the game, or at least on par with Relic.

    lolClaustrum, here I come!

Would be pwn if the Blm Staff gave like, MAB+20 >.> Or the Smn Staff Perp-5, or the Cor Gun "Phantom Roll"+2 (Yes, 7mp/tick Refresh /orgasm)

But yeah, I think having conditions like that would make you either cry or cheer with joy having to spend so much time doing everything, and have a pwn reward from doing all of it.

    ButlolSEetc~

Aside from AF2 pants, whats to hate about it? BST's AF2 is the only job I can think of that can use AF2 pretty much full time with 5/6 pieces being badass.

whitemage gets pretty close too, although as macro pieces and not as full time use (head is about the only piece totally eclipsed at this point.)

    Relic ~AF

    Hp+85 ~73
    Vit+4 ~3
    Agi+3 ~3
    Chr+4 ~4
    Int+6 ~5
    Dex+4 ~3
    Enhanced Reward x2 ~ x2
Enhanced Call Beast ~ Increased Tame
    Charm+20 ~20
    Parrying Skill+3 ~5
    HHP+3 ~ Enhanced Killer Effects

So, besides some loldefense, you get Hp+12, Vit+1 Int+1, Dex+1, Enhanced Call Beast, NQ Tame rate, Parrying -2, and trade HHP+3 for Enhanced Killer Effects.

The only stats that ACTUALLY matter are identical except Enhanced Call Beast, explaining why the only piece I've ever heard any of the Bsts mention is Gloves.

Oh, wait, I forgot one of the Enhances Reward pieces on Relic is supposed to give -na effects...which COMPLETELY invalidates my point, I'm sorry.

Why would you even think this, because people talked about it in a thread here?
Because they talked about adjusting the difficulty of mobs to make Black Mages in Melee parties more viable. Stop being a retard please. Thank you.
Are you retarded enough to think they'd change every monster that TP burns merit on for the sake of blm invites? Thank you.

In higher levels, a balanced party setup that skillchains and magic bursts struggles to gain experience points in comparison to a heavy melee party, which can kill enemies much faster and quicker. An
experience point bonus to successful Skillchains could help a more balanced setup of players earn levels and merits. Do you have plans to make skillchain/magic burst parties more attractive?

::lots of commotion between them:: This is very long answer, but the jist of if is, yes we realize that right now some people cannot get parties right now because it is easier for melee parties to kill monsters, and so we are thinking about doing some adjustments. There will be an overhaul when the new jobs come out because we want to make them balanced with the others. We will also balance the existing jobs to work with those. When that balance occurs, there will be some adjustments made, and hopefully that will make some of the other jobs more attractive and alleviate some of the melee parties. By doing these types of adjustments, we will have to make some of the monsters stronger.
    Stop posting.[/quote:cbe85]

If you read what is NOT bolded it appears that they plan on buffing up most jobs so that mobs will need to be stronger, but they don't even talk about what mobs. The response is clearly in reference to the expansion, and the "some mobs" leads me to think that if they make all the jobs stronger they will have to make NM's and HNM's stronger. It is a pretty huge assumption that this is referencing nerfing TP burns.[/quote:cbe85]

Well thats the assumption I am going with at this time.

    Re: August Update

I think that nerfing TP Burns would be 10 times as bad as the RNG nerf (and we all know how bad that was). You'd now have pretty much every melee that gets invited to TP burns pissed off that because of a couple hundred emo Alla-tards bitched and moaned about not getting PT invites, exp needs to suffer again.

I'm all for Sea Manaburn again; I think it was great and don't understand why it was nerfed.

EXP should not be the focal point of the game. It should be a means to an end, so that you can spend more time questing, camping HNM and doing the things that are actually interesting*.

*Yes I know that some people consider exping interesting. But after killing well over a few thousand Toucan Sams and Mamool, shit gets old.
