Nyzul Isle Assault question

BLU is insane in Nyzul except for on the Bosses. It sucked pretty bad on them for me. For Bosses we did WHM, BRD, NIN, THF, 2MNK. MNKs and NIN got Fanatic's for TAU Boss runs, incase we got Hydra or Cerb and just use those/SP and destroy them. We had so much points from farming everything and the items make it even easier. MNKs would take Revitalizers from any chests as well so they could get 2hr back after the Boss.

My nyzul static is 3 BLU THF BRD RDM. I really dont see any shortcoming on BLU at bosses at all. Disseverment, Diamondhide, Actinic burst, Frenetic Rip, Sprout Smack, Magic Fruit. The only boss we've ever had difficulty on is Hydra, just eats up too much time with his phys shield. And i highly recommend Body Boost, by far the best item in the chest, couple it with a dustywing and you immediately take off a large precentage of HP.

Yea, I've seen videos of 3BLUs and helpers kill bosses(maybe your group, idk) and no offense, it takes 2-3x as long as our group does and it looks alot more painful. My group destroys Bosses in a matter of moments, we have torn through Hydra and Cerberus in less then a minute plenty of times. The times I went to Bosses on BLU it was _ok_ damage but really, my MNK and WAR kill it in damage on them. For everything else Nyzul though, BLU is devastating imo.

Also, 3BLUs together work alot better then 1BLU with other jobs when it comes to big mobs. I just think regular melee jobs are alot better for Bosses.

Like I said, we usually have 2MNKs or MNK and WAR, both Melee and the NIN pop Fanatics(basically Invincible, huge enmity and no phys dmg taken) and just SP the Bosses. We only do this for TAU Bosses, since they can be a pain sometimes. Khimaira is a joke though.

Even without Fanatics and SP we usually take the bosses down very fast, much faster the the videos I watched of 3BLUs.

Cerberus maybe but taking down hydra in under a minute would require you to get ungodly lucky. Youd have to take more time just prepping to take it down that fast. And it would require your 2hrs Chi blast and multiple chest items. and a healthy dose of exxageration.
Lets see my group has done up to 9 floors in a run, with multiple kill all floors. Have done boss runs in under 13 mins multiple times, average kill time on a boss hydra excluded is 3mins, im guessing yours is around there too unless your spending 1000 tokens a run. Its not like BLU melee damage is suddenly gimped on these bosses, i think the problem might just be you arent as good a BLU as you are a MNK. I DD and tank for our group on BLU without any use of items, garauntee i still put up more damage on the bosses than your NIN. and on top of that heal and stoneskin. So the idea that BLU falls short on bosses is just absurd. And last i checked BLU had unhindered access to a high damage A rated one handed weapon w/ multihit WS. So thinking it cant cut it as a melee DD is more of a personal problem.

Take offense much? I didn't diss BLU, just saying I found it to do less then my MNK and WAR on Bosses. BLU spells give mobs a ton of TP, MNKs give them very little, so have to deal with alot of TP moves and possibly alot of healing with BLUs. Please don't ever compare Vorpal with Rampage or Asuran btw. Like I said BLU is good and can do it, I just think there are better jobs for the Bosses. Sorry you struggle with Hydra, cause he was a joke to us. 1 Fanatics Drink is all I ever got for Boss runs.
