    Re: Fantasy Football 2007-2008

Ok i'm not really sure what happened while I was at work last night...

What exactly happened to the draft? I had a preset auto draft setup with my own rankings so while I wasn't there it would have picked who I wanted according to my list. I have ZERO players from that list on my roster, and seeing as I was 4th pick, I could have had all but one of them... I'm pretty sure I'm going to send this entire team to freeagents and let you guys go nuts with it while I step out because I'm really not sure what you ended up doing.

    Re: Fantasy Football 2007-2008

    1) The league was set to start in Week 4, our LIVE draft was set at Saturday (last night) 8:15 PM EST.
    2) An asterisk in Yahoo forced our draft into an auto-pick draft, which is absolute shit.
    3) We had to call an audible and we did the draft through AIM and a drafting program
    4) We picked for your team, if you were absent, based on a composite yahoo rankings/team needs

There's no blame to be tossed around, you were busy with work and we had to progress with the draft. I don't think you should call it quits just because of that though -- give it a shot. Your first 3 picks were Westbrook, Steve Smith, and Reggie Bush. Hell, if you don't like your team, you could try trading for some of your targets. Show some managerial skills *shrug.* Of my 5 leagues, I missed the draft in 2, and I'm undefeated in both because of making trades for my targets, managing my roster appropriately, and keeping with FA. So I mean, the draft is certainly and extremely important, but this is nothing to quit over. If for nothing else, get the experience of playing in an extensive IDP league. If you go into this optimistically, you'll have fun. And you'll love the way you look. I guarantee it.

lol did you see how many trades I made? Yahoo's rankings are so bad... If you autopicked for people that weren't there using yahoo rankings I just wonder why mine were visible. Not really a big deal, If anyone wanted any of my picks I did give alot to free agents though, we'll see what happens with everyone you all missed lol.

In my league Ben got over 4 times as many points as Rivers. Rivers blows. Back on the bench for him until bye weeks.

Yeah. I may snag a new QB D: I have Brady in this Defense league of Tyr's. Rivers in my BG league where I'm 0-3. NOT HELPING RIVERS!

Yea man, sorry about that. I'm officially done with the Chargers (except LT and Gates). I wash my hands of them.

What the hell is up with the Vikings man. We give the rock to AD ONCE in the second half? The man had 110 of his 112 yards in the first half. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU CHILDRESS.

I said this in our league post -- say what you want about Schottenheimer, he made the most out of his players while at SD. Look at how Norv Turner is shitting on Tomlinson's career right now (the fact that Tomlinson's such a great player, knock on wood, is what balanced Norv Turner's assiness). Schottenheimer and his coaching staff for the Chargers, over the past four years, basically did what Bellicheck and the Patriots were doing in making players play at their highest level, except they had much, much less depth. When you have a player that is basically carrying your offense, a running back at that, that's fine, limit his touches to keep him healthy, but give him the ball at least 20 times. Are you shitting me 12 carries for AD? The Vikings just completely gave up on the run game -- this is the focal point of their offense. It's not as if they weren't having success with the running game either...

Childress, get your shit together. Seriously.

Don't get me started on the Giants-Eagles game. Osi Umenyiora accounted for half of the teams sacks, and he had 6. Fuck.

PS: In two of my 6 leagues (the 2 ones I try hardest on), I am dead last, 0-3 and 1-2. In the BG league, I played the undefeated (now defeated) #1 team, and spanked him by a healthy 60 points. In my other league, I have a 23 point lead and T.J. Hoshmazode to play v. Randy Moss (and maybe Kevin Faulk) on Monday night, versus the #1 team that scored a 4-year league record 185 points last week. Can I pull off the victory?

I'm in a decent position to end up the only 4-0 team. I need 25 points combined out of Tom Brady, Chad Johnson, and Gostkowski. I think it'll happen.

    And.. Childress is horrible.

Why the fuck did I draft Cadillac and Brandon Jacobs.

Here I am week 4 shitting bricks and starting their backups.

Edit: I feel really bad though cause Cadillac's career might be over.

Well I'm losing by 42ish and have Tom Brady left to play. He has his kicker. This is in Tyr's IDP league, so 0-1 here I come!

other BG League, he has Rudi Johnson (He didn't remove him from his lineup for some reason) and Carson Palmer vs my Wes Welker and Maroney (will he ever get a TD? We'll find out!) left to play and am up by 30. Here's hoping I get my first win.

    Bump! The playoffs are soon.

I'm in the league Tyr set up, and I'm wondering how the other one is shaping up. With only one week remaining in the regular season, my team is the only one that has clinched a playoff spot. It's been awhile since I've been in a league this tight.
