TBH is it just me or does this come off as hyper-anti-racism. Black people have suffered greatly in the past but was RE4 racist against spanish people? Like c'mon I think in the US people have gotten to critical mass over political correctness. To be honest you might as well call movies like Blood Diamond or Hotel Rwanda racist because they portrayed black people and Africa in a negative light.

As kuno said, people will pull the racism card any chance they get cause it gives them something to do. Now i'm not saying racism isn't around, but it's not nearly in as many things as people make it out to be.

In the article she's saying that the non-infected black people are zombie like too? The 'white protagonist' has to fight back or get infected. If that's not searching for something i don't know what is.

I get seriously pissed off when people pull the race card cause 90% of the time it doesn't apply.

This is bullshit. Normally in RE games there are hardly any black people (if there are, they die simple enough). So wouldn't it be considered racist to exclude a race from a game, or make them insignificant? You spend most of the time killing white zombies and no one has a problem with that. So why is it people have a problem when you kill black "zombies"? Or mexican/spanish "zombies"?

I don't think any black person would complain about it, are any black people here deeply offended? I sure as hell am not.

No date yet if I had to guess I'd say at the earliest Q1 of 2008 but more realistically I'd guess Sept-Dec sometime 2008. Can't wait for it but like most games I'd prefer the developers to take there time. Capcom sorta stabbed me in the heart when they dropped Clover though damn I loved Okami and even GODHAND was a blast, so they lost a bit of faith there.

Also, if this is so Huge and Epic/Monumental, where was the outcry, when you could do this in GTA III (and all the sequels onward)

I think it's ridiculous. So if this is racist against black people... was the previous RE some sort of EX-USSR-Farmer hate game? Since you have to kill so many of them.

Look it's not like Chris is wearing a white coat with burning crosses calling them absurd names. It just so happens that the location of this scenario is in Africa or something. All they need to do is tag a Rating like 18+ on it and not allow children to purchase this game and problem solved. Afterwards it's the parent's fault if their kid is killing scary black zombies.

I remember when Basic Instinct came out in the theaters. GLBT groups raised a fuss because, once more, the main villain in a movie was gay. Some smarmy prick got on TV and said "If gay people want more visibility, then they are going to have to get used to being bad guys too." But my question (that I couldn't ask since I wasn't on TV) was, "where are the gay heroes in movies to fight those gay villains?"

Same thing here. Were the protagonist of the game an African as well, people would have no room to complain about the game.

I like how ppl are quick to call racism on anything now a days. So fucking irritating. Can't a white guy shoot a black guy in the face because he's a blood thirsty zombie that wants to eat him and it not have the racist card out? People are really overreacting on the whole racism issue. I bet if you give that game to a kid he/she isn't going to go "Cool I blew that nigger's head off!", instead they'd go "Cool I blew that zombie's head off!".
