On Thistle, where +1 to cloth or bone could possible make a difference, I have all three sets of glasses (gold shades just because they look the best). Not only is there a chance they might be helpful, glasses/shades are fun!

On Chaser, I doubt I'll ever get her the cloth or bone ones. GS shades look the best, and bone/cloth +1 won't do her much good.

Going for gold 100 could be fun, depending on what you find fun. It's amazingly frustrating and life-draining expensive, but I'm liking it. I like skilling crafts though, so I'm enjoying the challenge. I'm just sad that once I do hit gold 100, no other craft will be as hard.

IMO having 100 Gold would be "beating FFXI" if there is such a thing in an MMO of course. Theres alot about this game that drives me insane, (Grinding xp, HNM camping, Dyna) but I always found crafting to be enjoyable, I just wish I had started back when inflation was in full swing, as I'd be rolling in the gils ala Scrooge McDuck.

Meh, I'm still working on all my subcrafts, as I still need to level Bonecraft and Cloth to before I'm capped in all crafts, once thats done I can go abouts working on a mule.

Gold isn't the end-all of crafting these days really anyway... Gold/platinum ingots are definitely affordable now, it'll just be another thing to add to my list.

Agreed, thats part of the reason I want to give it a shot, I doubt I'd have any issuess until 80+.

Gold isn't as bad as it used to be, no. But that being said, I've had many, many, many levels on Chaser where it cost me a million or more per level. I don't think leather 95+ cost me a million per level! (Though I could be wrong. It's been years and I think I've blocked it out of my memory.)

Well then you've been doing it wrong. I'm 80 on my gold mule now and haven't gone over ~700k per level at worst.

Posting as a lazy fuck who's been 100+2 for over a year, is it really necessary to get the MH item for bonecraft? I haven't seen anything I'd craft for money that it would put me in another tier for, granted being 0/128 on Genie Weskit and 1/1 on Cursed Cap -1 free of charge for a LS BST that quit like 2 weeks later makes me think I'm doing something wrong.

I don't think thistle is talking about recent costs; it wasn't too strange to crack 1mil per level in 2004/2005 (and even some parts of 2006).

Tortoise earrings, Corsair Gun, Igqira Huaraches, Unicorn Mittens, Dragon Subligar (cap is 92 bone, 53 leather: 103 bone will allow you to get leather support, which combined with leather gloves will allow you to be T1 on the synth).

So basically, its not really necessary to get the furniture, but there are a few synths where it will benefit you. And in my experience, alot of crafters are somewhat meticulous people for whom continuity is just as important as anything else. Getting the furniture allows you to say "This craft is complete".

You should get all the +gear just in case they add new recipes that you barely break teir on. Getting to that stuff on day one is incredibly profitable.
