I love watching anime on niconico because they come out faster (popular shows come out less than 15 minutes after they're broadcasted in Japan - raw though of course), and you can chat with other people while watching. It's like watching anime with hundreds of people at once. If you can understand Japanese decently it's an awesome place.

When the subs come out though, that's when I download them and store them somewhere to watch again later.

Yeah Sammy, that's the only bad thing is that it just came out this past year in Japan so it's in subtitles only for the moment. I was really hoping that it was going to get picked up for dub this year and maybe on Adult Swim this up coming fall, but it doesn't seem like that is going to be the case, with Adult Swim not announcing any new anime as of yet. But if your in to darker shows I might recommend blood+ though I have only watched one episode it's all about vampires, super natural, and what not. it airs on Adult Swim, aka Cartoon Network Saturdays at 12:30 est. As far as anime goes in general I think that there are only 3 places to get it on TV right now, first is Cartoon Network, they have the more popular shows like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece. these are broken down into to different blocks on the Network, Toonami, action shows geared to boys 12-17 airing from 7-11 est on Saturdays, and Adult Swim, usually action shows, sometimes they have a mix of comedy, ie. Shinchan, and FLCL, or suspense shows, ie Paranoia Agent. the time that anime airs is rather late, saturdays 12-2, and monday - friday 12:30-2:30 est. Sci-Fi channel should still have, (doesn't know anymore because cable company made sci-fi a premium digital cable channel,) Animonday. I think that the latest season of Ghost in the Shell is airing on there, which is a great futuristic cop show. and they have another show that I'm sure I'll get flamed for not remembering off the top of my head. might have to check your local listings for that, the final way is if you have digital cable most on demand services have a large free section of anime.

btw if you still want to give darker than black a try with the subs, you might want to look it up on http://www.veoh.com unless you really need it to be at 100% quality, then I suggest google search Darker than Black torrents. it should give you some good hits.

like veoh and nicovideo both giving a high quality stream. But the only downside is you need to understand jp.

don't know the subs and dubs that they have, on veoh anyways are good enough for me. I don't really mind the quality because I can watch them on veoh at work. where as I could torrent it but that's just a waste of time. yeah I like the high quality but unless it's a 26 or maybe 50 ep show I'm not going to hang on to the 140+ eps of Bleach or the 230+ eps of naruto, half of which I didn't even bother with because of fillers...

It's...hard to describe, but it's a different format than most anime. I've never read the manga, but I liked the first few episodes I've seen so far. It's somewhat like Hell Girl, in the sense that there is no main storyline and none of the episodes have a direct connection between each other , other than the main character and a couple other recurring characters. You really can pick it up at any episode if you want to, although watching it in order is probably still best

Gurren Lagann is an awesome anime that i just started watching. It really picks up after episode 4ish.
Bleach has so many fillers goin on now so its on the back burner for me atm
Naruto is gettin decent to watch again.

Does Ichigo 100% ever stop being sickeningly cheesy? I've watched the first 2 episodes and it's just so lame and overdone with the main characters thoughts and reactions. Does it settle down a bit or is that the way things are the whole time?

And no one else has mentioned One Piece >.> I didn't think it was that great sounding before I watched it (after I watched all of Bleach/Naruto) but it's certainly up there as one of my favorites, higher than Bleach that's for sure.

It's a harem anime/manga, and no, not really. Harem animes have such lame characters that make it unwatchable, and the scenarios suck.

Patience isn't my virtue. Watching now > wating 20min or 1h+. I will usually start torrent and watch streaming if I've nothing else to do and want to see next episode badly.

Miu's one is weird japanese rap lol. Matsuri's is cool because her voice sounds different from the anime but it's still cute. Ana's is good too =P Chi is naturally boring though.

I KNOW! I think it was OVA 2, that really had me laughing till I cried, it was the one where Matsuri' is reading that book and Nobue is watching her, then Miu comes and starts talking to her, and enters the "comforting pose".
