[Gilgamesh] Kysmet (bc)

Posted an application to our LS, but apparently hasn't migrated yet.

A portion of their application:

75 Jobs: BLM, WHM, RDM, BRD
Sea access : O
Sky access : O
Salvage access : O
End Game experience: All Dynamis, all sky gods, all sea gods, all limbus areas, all ground kings and CoP wyrms.
Equip: AF2 on RDM, WHM, BLM. Some Zenith. All the usual stuff.
Former LS: Icefire (sack), Spoondaggers

Any information, positive or negative would be appreciated.

It seems like there are quite a few people on every server have caught on to this BG thread that references "background" checks so to speak and are lying about which server(s) they migrated from in hopes that since no one there "knows" them then they can seemingly fly under the radar and into an elite, established linkshell in hopes of starting over or ruthlessly pillaging it clean. Which one would probably depend on the person applying I suppose.

It's fucking stupid but it doesn't surprise me one bit. I've been seeing/hearing about it alot on Fenrir as well as Phoenix.

I know what you mean. It gets harder and harder to differentiate between people that server jump for good or for bad reasons. You have people (Me for instance) who move due wanting to being with RL friends and that want to play on a server that is best suited for their play style. Then you have people (apparently like this tool) that have absolutely no history on said server.

It sucks and I don't envy being a shell holder for one second. I was on Kupo's site a few days ago and it is completely mind numbing at the amount of people applying that are from "Different" servers. It is simply astonishing I tell you. Tread lightly when dealing with foreign characters is all I can say and make sure that you have the last laugh so to speak.

In regards to people making fake-previous server applications to make themselves look better on migration, I can vouch that "kysmet" is from Gilgamesh and is/was in Spoondaggers. On the other hand, I cannot vouch if this person really is intending to leave Gilgamesh. I am not on a regular /tell basis with this person, so i wouldn't know why they'd be leaving. But I would hate for Kysmet to be rejected to a LS on another server just because no Gilgameshers can verify proof of identity. I hope this helps. (b'-')

He doesn't need to post what's fake about the app if he doesn't want to. Even assuming it was legit the chances of her getting a trial when her current LS doesn't even know she was leaving is slim.

I'm not actually leaving Gilgamesh. About a week ago, I got about half a dozen PMs from people across different servers who said I'd applied for a server hop... I'm not really planning on going anywhere from the time being. I will admit that the applications that I have seen are probably creepily close to the truth as far as why I would leave if I should hop from gilga. I am sorry that someone wasted your time though >.<
