You know what someone should do? Someone should make a wiki page of "Things We've Asked SE" under which there would be a simple database of questions they've gotten in interviews, and quotes (and citation) of the answers they've given in relation to those questions. So that we don't wind up repeating ourselves.
Just a thought.
I think a good addition to this request would be to provide a graphic of the custom icon packs that exist out there. It'd be best to ask the icon's author permission before doing so, but I think that this would be an easy graphic to include with the question.Originally Posted by Septimus
I could be mistaken, but I believe the reason we don't have 80 inventory is because we have 20 space reserved for temporary items. Even so, it doesn't hurt to ask. Maybe they'll work around it if enough people ask. Also, I might add on to that and ask them if they'd be willing to consolidate some gear without making it overpowered in the process.
For mages, there are two major inventory crunching things that you can do: consolidate elemental staves (have to include both a NQ and HQ in this mix or people would never use it, also have to buff Astral Signa and Bahamut's Staff in the process) and elemental obis.
For melee: consolidate elemental gorgets and examine gear that is used for TP and WS purposes and make armor that reflects this. For example, an armor with stats that are always in effect (for TP) and with "Weapon Skill" stats.
I'm not saying this should be done for every slot and basically make macros (or other gear) useless, but it would still be helpful if they did it for a few items. It doesn't even have to be armor that's necessarily easy to obtain either. As an example, Homan Corazza and Hecatomb Harness replacement would have Accuracy +15, Enhances "Triple Attack" and Weapon Skills: Strength +12.
AV -.- I have spent countless hours just theorizing how to stop him. I have even reread sections of the bible and other things to try and see if there is some religious link like there was with dynamis quifim and dynamis Buburimu's bosses. Which btw was quite interesting :D Thank you for that SE. But yeah, at least give us a hint if it has to do with some religion or what the hell is up.
Make more HNMs that have like ridill +1 :D(lol not literally named ridill +1 but you get the point) I am not gonna say add new weapons, cause quite frankly they have been doing well with all the perdu weapons ^^. Give me moar WoG trailers :D!
But the more repeat things like "more macro space", "bigger gobbie bag", "fix AV", the more they will understand that these are important and actually fix them.Originally Posted by riddaraan
How about a question like "How many times do we have to ask for more macro spaces, bigger gibbie bags, and fixing AV before you guys will listen?"
- Could we please see some real improvements to dragoon? Giving our wyvens emotes and lowering super jump to 3 minutes has done nothing for the job. We still have weak weaponskills on everything higher than VT, and are in desperate need of some ja/jt that would make us more welcome into merit parties/end game.
-Is there any way that we could change nations with out losing our out posts warps should we want to switch back to the origional nations?
-Please tell us exactly what we need to do to defeat AV. Make it clear that regen isnt the problem, two hour abilities and magic spam are the problems.
- Will we ever see merits broken down into more specific categories? ex. allowing us to directly merit attack/defense/haste/MAB/MAD
I wouldn't mind changing race somehow. I'd really like to be a taru, I think. I'ma RDM and falling in love with the /nin Solo stuff, and I feel Taru would be best for that.
On a serious note, my question to SE is:
Hay guyz when ya gonna fix FFXI? :O:O
I'm pretty sure Ares's gear is what you're looking for.Originally Posted by Gambitx
your stuff isn't particularly more gimp than any other 2hander for merit, seriously. there's nothing inherently unbalanced about dragoon right now (beastmaster on the other hand...)
Fix 2hand weapon dmg :/
Go go 94dmg wep doing slightly more dmg then 45dmg wep....
Bigger gobbie bag might be a server/database limitation. If they didn't plan to give us over 60 space when they made the game, there could be technical reason to explain why they aren't doing it now. That would also explain why they implemented "locker", instead of simply expending the current storage. Or it might be the marketting department who want people to have mule. >_>Originally Posted by Septimus
Same thing could probably be said about macro space, but with everyone using windower macro, the point is kinda moot.
Not to take anything away from beastmaster, because it is long overdue for an update/improvement but its not the only job that is in need of great improvement. Gear is not the problem with dragoon, I mean I suppose I could get invited into the alliance to use angon on an hnm, but whats the point when a whm or rdm can do the same with dia? And i'm sure most merit parties would want me, after all I can deal out great damage with out sponging MP(sarcasm here for those of you who cant tell). The point i'm trying to make is we have seen no improvements to drg out side of wyvren emotes and a lower super jump timer which is hardly ever used anyway while most other jobs with a few exceptions such as beastmaster have all seen great improvements.Originally Posted by Amele
Fix two handed weapons, and give dragoons a boost, not a huge one that would break the game but something along the lines of what samurai has recieved recently.
Yeah, because dia gives -25% defense down and doesn't stack with angon.Originally Posted by Gambitx
And let's disregard 2 hate losing abilities, and the fact that over 50% of the merit mobs are weak to piercing.
Cry moar faggot.
- With the charecter decline leveling up at 60+ is getting kinda long...will there be any plans to lower experience needed?
- More solo content?
- Can we have a rabbit HNM please?
Great response, really it was well thought out. No endgame ls is going to drop someone in the alliance so that the drg can jump in and angon an hnm but thank god we have two useless hate shedding ability's should we pull hate by some miracle. Also, while having exp mobs weak to piercing is nice for drg it doesnt fix whats wrong with drg.Originally Posted by Zilong
In any case I offered up a valid question to ask SE which is what this thread is about, thanks for contributing nothing and derailing it.
I'd really like to know more about their plans for the fellowship NPCs. I wouldn't even really mind if they couldn't get into ToAU zones just yet, I'd be more interested in just a higher level cap for them.
More than that, can you just give them the general statement that the Ode to the Serpents line of quests are absolutely amazing bits of story? Najelith's story in "When the bow breaks" was probably my favorite bit of story related content to come out of ToAU so far.

Just start the interview with something like "Seriously guys, awesome work with these Ode to the Serpents quests, keep it up." Because, really, Aht Urghan's quests have been full of win all around, compared to the few nice quests scattered here and there pre-Aht Urghan. And SE has really stepped it up with the direction of the cutscenes of Aht Urghan, even some of the CoP cutscenes seem bland compared to Aht Urghan's.Originally Posted by Spoony Bob

"Hay guys here's 50, no wait 60, no wait 70, no wait 80! inventory space with mog locker." "YAY, you're so awesome ^__^"
They're just going to feed us the same excuse, even though they've shown it's a bogus argument by implementing locker. If there *is* some real problem, make storage accessible everywhere, and you'd make a ton of people happy.
On that note :
-Add mog locker to nomad moogles, it's retarded you can't get to half of your shit in safehold.
-NPC's in ToAU, sky and sea if you have access. Throw the people who put up with your lazy asses on this little bit of content (hi2u months of waiting before you could *zone* with your npc out) a bone guys.
There's so much small stuff that would be nice to have, maybe if I remember more I'll post it, but not much hope.![]()
- Increase drop rates on level 35 armor in Salvage (something along the lines of 20% or so instead of 5-10%), it's depressing to kill the same NM a dozen times in a single week and not get anything from it
- Increase drop rates on abjurations in Einherjar (considering you can only go once every 3 days and you only get one abjuration every 10 runs or so, it's hardly an alternative to king camps)
- Create an alternate method of obtaining Ridills and Defending Rings
Given the amount of time and the level of difficulty, Einherjar seriously needs a boost in rewards. If it gave you a single abjuration for each time you won, THEN it'd be an acceptable alternative to king camps. Toss in Defending Ring or Ridill with their current drop rates in Odin's Chamber or somewhere and that should fix both Einherjar and king camps in one shot (especially if the changes in the next patch make each attempt noticably easier). The overall difficulty, the 3 day restriction, and the chance that these items won't always drop should help preserve the rarity of some of these items without making it a complete matter of luck (which the current system of king camps is pretty much all about, no one wipes to any of the kings anymore unless they have no experience with them whatsoever).
- Add Claim Slips for the Amir, Pahluwan, and Yigit sets, also consider Claim Slips for Abjuration sets (Adaman, Koenig, Shura, Crimson, Zenith, Hecatomb, Shadow Coat, Shadow Breastplate), Nyzul armor sets (Askar, Denali, Goliard), and Salvage sets (Ares, Skadi, Usukane, Marduk, Morrigan); despite the fact that many people might have only one or two of these sets at most, there are definately more people with full Yigit or full Hecatomb than anyone who needs a Claim Slip for the Studded Armor set or the Carapace Armor set
Probably not if the idiot DRGs in their LS are telling everyone Angon is just Dia with a 3 minute recast, no.Originally Posted by Gambitx
