I don't see why people think he shouldn't get as much as Manson. If the contract says split 50/50, then they should be getting equal profits and living lives of equal luxury.

Where Manson would pull ahead would be any advertising he sells for his own likeness. If they put Manson's face on a box of Wheaties, then they wouldn't split that. In that sense, Manson would make more.

But money they make from their band's performances, royalties, and any advertising they may sell as a band, should be split.

Lol, Marilyn Manson is performing tonight across the street from where I work at (Montreal, Bell Center).

Wonder how the performance will go like under these circumstances.

My comments were based on what I had heard, and that was that he was trying to up his contract amount. If the split was written as 50/50 then yes I fully agree he should get his due. Besides, shouldn't this have come up a lot sooner, not like Manson is new in any way shape or form.

Not sure why people keep talking about 50/50. Nowhere in that article does it say anything about how much the keyboardist wanted to make. All it says is that he should have made more than he did. That could mean he was totally fine with Manson making $5 million / year and himself making $500k / year. It could mean he was fine making $100k / year while Manson made 10 million / year.

No one said he should make 50/50, only that if the contract said 50/50, that's what he should get. As in, whatever the contract says (even if its as extreme as 50/50), it should be honored.
