It appears to be more a trophy piece than a card one would add to his deck for the game.

Haven't played in 5+ years now so my deck is prob complete shit now.

Hell you can't even read what the card says... He needs to stop letting the grease from his face drip onto his camera.

You can read it, just go to the last page and squint.

Tribute 1 DARK monster with 1000 or less ATK. Check all monsters on your opponent's side of the field, your opponent's hand, and all cards they draw until the end of your opponent's 3rd turn after this card's activation, and destroy all monsters with 1500 or more ATK.

rarity of print run might justify price to some extent.

hell, look at what some baseball cards go for these days.

    or old pennies.

    or stamps!

i'm pretty sure the bidders are collectors who will re-sell it. just like the 1996 magic world champion card.

I used to be competitive mtg player too (nationals, etc.)

Re: When children's card games go too far...

I don't see how this card isn't good, most 4 stars are at least 1500+ atk and by guaranteeing they'll be destoryed before you have to attack you can simply force kill any monsters and attack your opponents life points directly. Am I missing something or isn't that what this card is meant for? You basically get 3 turns (more than enough) to rape your opponent.
I dunno I haven't ran a heavy hitter deck in years (Since back when I quit in october of uh... 2002). I think the closest one would be my spellcaster deck since it roundabouts ways to get 6 and 7 star monsters out for 1 sacrifice or less and I'd lose breaker. My E hero deck would lose spark man if I got crush carded so I guess that would be sort of dick since I use a lot of fusion substitutions to get away from having to fuse twice if necessary. Otherwise uh... I guess cyber dragon too but I don't run it in my Ehero deck. My warrior deck would be sorta iffy. All in all though it's just not the powerhouse it used to be when options were severely limited, which I guess is the point so it won't be imba.

conflicting info but mark rosewater says in '04 he thinks he sold it to a private dealer for 'several thousands of dollars' Either way, if it were to hit the market, it would definitely be worth more than 7k
