The Book:

tier3 = 1/2hq = +51 levels
tier2 = 1/4hq = +31 levels
tier1 = 1/10hq = +11 levels
tier0 = 1/???hq = everything thats left

A tier is limited by the subcraft requirement.

The moghouse item gives a +1 to your base skill.

You cant get a skill up from a break if your total skill is more than 5 levels from the cap of the synth you are making.

Pretty much everything else is a load of bollocks.

above 60, it is not possible to get more than 0.1 per skillup.

advanced synth support is +3, basic is +1. the guildpoint belt is +3.

I'm sure there's a few more things. (mostly break rate and moghancement related)

I thought it was 50+. It's been a while since I was in the 50's with a craft. Though I'll hit it pretty soon as I'm working on subs now.

50+ is where skillup rate drops from ~60% to ~30%

Last time I tried to skillup my Clothcraft I HQed a peace cape. add that to the 5 blessed briaults I made several months ago, and I'm in the hole approximately 4 mil and all I got was from 99 to 99.1 cloth. Not wasting any more money trying for a useless level.

I'll even design a (crafting parser) to go along with (whatever is the current cool parser, i tried DVSparser and couldnt get the damn thing to work, how sad) for my informations. I remember because I was in my room, and I heard a HOLY FUCKING SHIT ring out from his room, and I ran in there and he got a .2 on his woodworking making an eight-sided pole or some shit. I was pretty pissed at the time because I had just gotten smithing to like 95, and I hadn't gotten a .2 in forever.

On my 6th craft and I've yet to see it happen. I've heard rare reports of it happening but never yet seen it screenshotted, so POIDH.

One thing that can happen that confuses people: you can still get subcraft 0.2-0.3 skillups. For example, on http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Eight-Sided_Pole, you can get 0.2 smithing skillups if your smithing is below 31.
