Actually what's most ironic here is that compared to what Mexican police would do to foreign criminals south of the border, this sick-stick is like getting rubbed in the face with an elmo doll.

The only actual danger is that you don't want to induce vomiting in someone who's likely dehydrated from crossing a border that's situated along a pretty arid stretch of land (which is the case for a good deal of the US/Mexico border).
