Favorite Sushi

I love sashimi.. but its so expensive for what you get so I usually stick to a small order of it and get a roll or two. Theres a place by my work that has this roll with fried shrimp, avocado, fish eggs, some kinda sauce, and its topped with barbecued unagi.. omfg thats yum.

Yes, it's very similar to that, but it is on rice wrapped with seaweed, and the scallop is shredded and mixed with a mayonnaise cream sauce. I can't seem to find a picture of it. Google, you have failed me!

I thought only carnivorous, long-life fish like Tuna were affected by mercury levels? Oh well, if you're pregnant there's no reason to take chances I suppose.

It isn't really all about the mercury levels, it is the fact that it is uncooked. Pregnant women aren't supposed to eat anything that isn't cooked well as it can carry parasites (listeria) that most people's immune systems can handle and it doesn't effect them. Pregnant women have lower immune systems and have to be careful what they eat.

Had a Toro roll and a Spider roll last night at a Sushi bar here In SA(I was supprised). Even not being close to the coast, some of best Rolls i have ever had. First time having a toro roll also very good

samurai roll: shiso, shrimp tempura, cucumber, tobiko, kaiware, spicy tuna w/ tempura crisp & spicy blackberry mayo on top

barbie roll: shrimp, crab, avocado, asparagus wrapped with seared salmon

MVP roll: creamy scallops, tobiko & avocado on a bed of spicy crab [tempura style]

tigertail roll: yellowtail, spicy jalapeno & tobiko topped with shrimp

Volcano roll: spicy tuna and asparagus topped with ahi & avocado spicy mayo, unagi sauce, tobiko, & sprinkled with toasted macadamia nuts\

Is "VCR" a common name or is it unique to the place I go to(Mr. Pi in Metuchen, the best in NJ, HAEEB IT)? That's my favorite, followed by Dragon Roll. Eel is yummy. lol @ California Roll(California Roll isn't sushi).
