Yagudo Avatar Broken?

Ok let me start out by saying lolAstralSigna.

There now with that out of the way I need to figure out wtf is going on with this mob. Just like any of the beastmen Kings it's a 21-24 hour pop which of course can spawn an HQ version every 3 to 4 days from what I've known about it.

Yesterday it died at about 4:00pm EST. We showed up on day 4 at 12:00pm EST to screw around and farm while we waited for a pop. The Window opens of course and he doesn't come out. Ok no problemo.

We'd been the only ones present during the entire 3 hour peroid and he still did not come out. We stayed an extra hour and a half past that with no sign of him whatsoever.

I called a GM to see if there was a problem with the NM or something in the zone was reset but they said everything was running normally.

Well I logged out and came back bout 2.5 hours later to check on it & of course he's not up. I said fuck it and just left. I get up this morning to check on a few things and person in my LS who was there with us at the time but had to goto work, got home and the Yagudo Avatar had spawned at almost 1am in the morning.

Ok so now I'm confused as all fuck what is wrong with this mob. The only thing I can surmise is that the sever or the zone was reset without any real knowledge even tho the GM said that it had not been done.

I've camped my fair share of beastmen kings and I've never seen it "skip" a day like you're claiming. One of two things happened. You got TOD wrong/mixed up/whatever, and someone killed it before you arrived. Or, while you were dicking around, it popped and someone who had logged there logged in, ninja killed it, and warped. They simply do not skip days, however unlikely it may seem to you, you missed something somewhere.

EDIT: I misread the part where you said it popped at 1am (I read 1pm)... yeah are you sure whoever gave you tod from the day before wasn't mistaken and it was 4am instead of 4pm? Cuz that would make more sense

Positive. I was there when the fucker popped and it didn't come out until the end of that 3 hour peroid. Here are my ToDs with me being present for each one.

5:40:04pm EST Day 1.
4:42:20pm EST Day 2.
4:43:11pm EST Day 3. *Came Back at 7pm EST and he wasn't around*
1:00:00am EST Day 4?!?!

So yeah I'm not bullshitting here. He didn't come out on the time he was supposed to. I checked and double checked everything I did that previous day and also made sure to confirm that ToD with the other 5 people that were present.

My only explanation was SE reset the zone/server in Castle O without letting anyone know. I had thought also that maybe someone had ninja warped in and killed it but we actually sat at his pop spot for 3 hours killing the High Priest and Templar the entire time.

A linkshell member had something like this happen to them also. He sat there at the spawn point for the entire window and killed the Templar/High Priest as he waited for it to pop. He was there 30 min to an hour before window, and 2 whole hours after it had "closed". He ended up logging off and the next morning when he had logged on it was sitting there. Sorry I couldn't be of any more information, just maybe thought you'd feel better knowing you aern't the only one this has happened to!

How long ago was this if you can recall. I'm looking thru the update notes from awhile back to see if SE actually did anything to him but there is nothing so far.

This was like, 4 or 5 months ago at most. Also the person who did it camped Astral signa almost religiously back in the day, and got like 2-3 signa's. He had not ever seen anything like it before.

Well he popped at this 1am time again. Weird as fuck but it's not Day 6 today?

I've never heard of a beastmen god taking longer then 4 to 5 days to spawn.

I have killed 6 Tzee pops + all the Avatar spawns and I have never seen him pop outside his window sorry. I do know that he only pop every 30 min in his 3 hr window, like the 3 kings.

I heard of this from someone else. Is this a proven fact that the beastmen gods have 30 minute windows like Kings?

I've killed it for 3 weeks straight helping a SMN buddy, lol. Pretty fun to solo Avatar on BLM . I've never seen it not pop during the window or miss a window etc.

Well an update as of tonight. ToD yesterday was 11:02:58 EST. I was there at 7pm EST killing mobs.

It's now 11:41:00 EST. No pop. This mob is officially broken.

Had this same problem a few weeks back. Couple of friends of mine and I were camping it from 2nd window but were constantly /sea'ing through first and noone was there that was capable of killing it... we got there <5mins after first window and everything was up aswell... camped whole window and it never popped. Figured someone somehow killed in those 5mins but really doubted it... didnt really think much of it but this topic made me think of that lol.

From my camping experience I've seen the following happen:

Tzee > Avatar > Avatar > Avatar > Avatar > Avatar > Avatar > Avatar > Avatar > Avatar > Tzee > Avatar > Tzee

(10th day Spawn then 2nd day spawn right after)

That's how it worked when I camped it.

On a semi-related note, it took me 5 tries to solo Avatar as Drg/Whm cause of the damn Elemental.

Yeah I sent in a Bug Report to SE. This shit hasn't started happening until after the last major patch update. I'm going to assume SE fucked something up without realizing it.

I hadn't been back since I sent in the big report. Done with this mob until the next patch update is done.

Yep, it's broken. I've been camping this on Pheonix and I'm guessing that the zone fails to spawn tzee xicu every time it tries and then tries to resolve it by spawning yagudo avatar at JP midnight. I'm not camping it anymore until they fix it.

I've been camping this again since the patch on Monday. Everything was working normally, Avatar popping on windows etc until tonight. We showed up at window start and stayed until an hour after close. Nothing popped. The previous days it had spawned exactly on the 5 second window so I can only assume that Xicu tried to spawn, couldn't and Avatar will be up at JP midnight. I called a GM asking if this NM was broken and first off, he said "We do not guarantee NM pops" and that to his knowledge everything was working as it should. I submitted a bug report to SE a few minutes ago so maybe someone will look into it. I'll update if Avatar is up at JP midnight.

So we've confirmed that the server reseting fixed nothing, and that the god is truly broken by something square-enix did. Neat.
