got 6 m silvers that run. actually when i think about it the price of dynamis aint that bad. I just think 1m for a small group is crazy. I wish you could farm with a small group for a lower price tho. I like how limbus is paid per player instead of by group.
So you can cockblock shells with 35-40 while doing your 12-man NM xarc farm? No thanks. Stop crying and open recruitment. If you don't want to do that, then suck it up or deem it not worth the cost and don't get the gear.

I honestly think that there should be a second glass for CoP dynamis that is slightly cheaper, but still on the same timer. After all, Einherjar is only 180k, and has similar group restrictions. This alleviates the cost to the players, and on the plus side, would make the CoP dynami more popular. So, you prevent the nab flood the majority of the naysayers fear, and help make the CoP zones more popular, not just an alternative to do if Dyn: City or Dyn: Ice is taken.

    Ok, I'll repost...

When dynamis was first introduced, gil back then was at its approximatively same value as it is today. Coins sold at LESS than they do today. Back then you could find any single for 4k-5k a pop. On my server today, Bynes seem to go for 3k, Bronze for 6k, Jades for 8k. The knowledge of dynamis back then was not as great as it is today, neither were the caliber of players, both gear wise and merit wise. As such, the potential coin outcome in any given run was nowhere near the potential coin outcome today, barring luck on 100 drops.

No one complained back then, why start now ? Unless thats your leakovagoo working its magic as usual.
Do you even read my posts? I did not say it's too expensive.

You seriously think Dynamis is top-tier content for top-tier players?

Perhaps 3 years ago, when it was new, sure. But it's utterly outdated. Dynamis is completely formulaic. And judging from some of people I've seen that are successful in Dynamis, there is absolutely nothing top-tier about it.
If everyone was on the same plane as the top tiered Dynamis players, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Sure some sped can be "pont and kill" told by a leader to win a city zone, but only the best are going pull off a successful dynamis rounds where everything is paid for, produce a profit to pay for non-coinage zones, pull lots of AF out of any zone and take advantage of absolutely everything Dynamis has to offer, including DL farms, wins, relics, CoP/Tav zone runs, etc.

There is a clear difference between people who are simply playing in Dynamis zones and those who are taking complete and full advantage of everything Dynamis has to offer. People who don't do this will complain about costs and drop rate. The only thing the better players complain about is time slots taken from trash LSs wasting a zone.

The bottom line is this. If the cost of dynamis is in question with your group, you are doing something wrong. I repeat, YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG. If you are not using dynamis resources to pay for the runs themselves, then you are doing it wrong. If you agree to this arguement, then the only other argument I can come up with is that the 1m bled out of the system per run needs to be countered with more gil producing methods brought along by SE.

Another thing to add. What IF they bring down the price... Lets say 750k... 500k.... What then? Based on some arguments (the only valid one in this thread) you are STILL bleeding the system by large quantities of gil... just at a slower rate. Lets say they do this at the end of August. Then guess what? In November we will still be evaluating the same problem, yet again.

The case should be closed on the dynamis costs at this point. It seems to me that a large majority of the "Yes reduce cost" votes are simply not thinking this out. The problem is not where they think it is.

it's not getting lowered. sorry you can't buy the glass from IGE for $10 anymore. :<

also, dynamis is not a top tier event aimed at uber players. ESPECIALLY not on the jp side, where you have dozens and dozens of casual players who log on twice a week JUST to do dynamis and perhaps only a few hours beyond that to hang out with friends.

they're doing to keep it small to prevent small group farming so the price of currency doesn't crash. they need to instance it though. /sigh
Whats to crash? I'd consider 40k coins to 6k coins a crash. I'm a leader for a smaller all inclusive linkshell on Alexander and I can tell you without a higher than 25 man turn out farming even solely for profit can be troublesome. Attempting to do a Xarcabard where you are unable to break even on coins is to be expected and is not something to be surprised
    about.

Its trying to balance out farming city runs, CoP areas, and Xarcabard when you are unlucky with coin drops that creates problems, especially for the smaller groups. I do not believe it is too expensive as long as coins can maintain a stable price range. But since people no longer have the money to spend on coins, guess what the price has crashed and there are no more buyers. That in turn is what is making more expensive or difficult to do. Trying to sell coins takes weeks instead of selling overnight like they used to, even though there are still people attempting to upgrade.

Also if this does nothing to prevent terrible players from getting Relic, because you know what, they can still join a large linkshell where it is very successful. They'll also still RMT to get their equipment. I.E Audeas on Alexander who had an excalibur and was one of the most terrible PLDs I had ever seen.

In all I think it comes down to SE being able to see the prices of items change and properly adjust the costs of entrance fees to account for those changes. Otherwise we will continue to have this problem of items being there and no buyers for them.

Quit doing dynamis as a linkshell and let members go with other people, team up with another linkshell, have all members chip in on the run just a few suggestions that make your /wahh pretty mute. Remember what 1M felt like back when Dynamis came out?

Re: Public opinion: Is dynamis too expensive?

I think people are taking the opportunity to get AF2 for granted, if some of those pieces were sellable they would go for many millions...

If your LS can't make 1m in currency in a run, then maybe you shouldn't be doing dynamis, maybe i am just extremely spoiled from having gone with good groups into dynamis but damn... some of the claims being made here, as well as the current poll results are blowing my mind, they just don't make sense to me.

Dynamis used to be the playground of the true end-gamers, now anyone with a 65+ job can find a LS somewhere, and i think that has had an effect on the opinion of most end-game participants about dynamis.

One of my former linkshells that had been doing dynamis since it came out got fed up with the lack of respect(usually shout NA LS's) people had for one another, ie jumping in front of a waiting LS, and just disbanded after a DL kill.

The people voting that it is to expensive, i think dont have a very reliable linkshell, one that when they go in they know they are going to kick ass, no exceptions. If that is the case, then seek one out, ask around and you will see that it is well worth the 1m.

Someone said dynamis is not for the top-tier or very skilled players, while anyone 65+ can enter, i beg to differ. I think only the dedicated or otherwise skilled players can gain the most out of the event.

If you polled everyone that answered this poll with the questions: When was the last time your linkshell wiped more than 2x in a run? When was the last time you cleared a zone? Is the number of players that you lot against greater than or equal to 342?
I think you would get a more detailed picture of why people say its too expensive, and why others say it is fair.

People that go in and never stay longer than 2hours of course arent going to think its worth 1m, people who stay 3.5hrs every time, may have a different basis for their opinion.

    My 2 cents.

    Also: sell me cheap currency

Re: Public opinion: Is dynamis too expensive?

Like I said its not about breaking even. Thats the easy part. Its to maintain a stable amount of excess coins to pay for runs where you can expect loss. Also let members go with other shells? They choose to do it in-house because they'd rather keep all the currency along with relic in the linkshell rather than some idiot who can join, get relic and leave.

    Again, I'll reiterate my point.

I'm for whatever Squenix will keep the playerbase playing as long as possible. If the majority of linkshells are unable to maintain a strict dynamis fund, then they should change it. If the majority of players are able to maintain a dynamis fund regularly to pay for all the zones, then keep it. Dynamis itself is a static event - it doesn't change. Just because one linkshell is super fantastic at clearing everything in a zone doesn't make that the average. It's not about your linkshell. Nor is it about the stupid little flash-in-the-pan linkshells that have cockblocked our linkshell's fucking Saturday and preventing us from doing any fucking zone as they sit in there for 1.5 hours and ruin everybody's day (fucking Hades). It shouldn't be catered to either group; but instead what the average linkshell can accomplish in that time.

I don't think this is unreasonable. And for what it's worth, I think the average dyna-linkshell is able to sustain itself. It's really not that hard to. Which brings me to my other point:

Dynamis is not a top-tier event for top-tier players. Just because you're really good at something does not justify it as being top-tier. You could be Tiger Woods, and at the end of the day, you're still playing golf. Are we really at the point now where we're accepting golf as an awesome, entertaining sport, full of challenge and skill? :D
