RMT using World Transfer to make money?

As long as the gillsellers are camping the AH and not NMs, I don't really care if they exploit the server transfer function. More than likely people who do this will undercut the server they're going to just to sell items fast and get gil back to where ever.

Less camping NMs/lowering AH prices for items I want = win/win

like i said earlier in the thread i'm surprised no one has tried this for khroma ore because on some servers its around 200k while on others are 350-400k and sell fast.

just think if rmt would send a mule to a cheap khroma ore server loaded with gil then transfer the ore to another account on the same server then transfer that one loaded with cheap khroma ore to an expensive server like odin and profit like mad. Khroma will never drop too much in price unless SE adds a bunch of new methods to get it ;x

If you actually click on the links for those characters it takes you to their ffxiah history. One of them (I forget which one) did exactly that with Khroma ores.

Just for you I clicked on the links again to see which specific ones... Taruasura bought Khroma ores one day and two days later Tarusiren sells them for well over 200k profit each.

You would imagine that they would be losing alot of money paying for all these transfers. I dunno how much actual profit that would make. Anyway, if they all get banned then SE just made some money pretty easily.

Probably a lot. They can make 500k+ on certain items, so with an account full of mules , you could probably end up making over 9000k easily.
Going price at the moment on our server (just checked) is 1m for ~50$. It's almost enough to pay for the game, monthly fee and transfert. Everything else is going straigth in their pocket.

Anyway, as much as I hate RMT, that method is relatively harmless compared to other. I would rather see SE ban them, but it's better than seeing them farm sky NM.

I can't see how that being profitable will last all that long. Sure there will be some discrepancy later on, but once enough people are doing it, standard economics will take over and the prices of everything will even out quite a bit between servers.

Pretty sure they only spent $25 in total for -all- the characters in one go, as long as they are all linked to the same account. So not a huge loss. So, $25 + $1 for each ContentID for 10s of millions of gil profit. Quite smart, easy way to make gil for regular players if they are prepared to wait for 3months to get a return on their investment.

I'm just curious but if over time the server's economy even's out so that all prices are almost identical server wide... doesn't that stabilize the economy in a sense? I mean I could be wrong but when I look at everything that has been said the benifets of what is going on seem to outweigh the negatives... but I could be completely wrong and not be looking through all the possibilites here.
