Well, it's not a very balanced fighter to be honest. So it's terrible for tournament play, but if you're just playing casually with your buddies or whatever it's probably one of the best fighting games you can play.

The fact that Fatal KO techniques can be used in combos puts newer players at a severe disadvantage though. Of course, when you get used to some of the little things like Fatal K.O.s (and how to avoid them, even though sometimes it's impossible) it's easy to get into the game.
My friend and I usually taunt each other when doing the Fatal K.O.s of our favorite characters, for example when I do Toki's "Hokuto Ujou Haganken" I'll actually put my arms in the air and cross them along with the character onscreen (sure, it's corny, but when you're in the zone you don't care). Another point of interest is that with Shin, you actually CAN reenact his suicide scene, the downside is that you actually DO lose instantly... but it's pretty funny to use sometimes.





tl;dr: I think you'll probably need to be a big fan of Hokuto no Ken to really get a lot out of the game because it doesn't have that many characters and it's not really balanced, but if you are a fan and you're not into tournament style play, you'll have lots of fun.

my LS's webmaster was kind enough to put in a java-based arcade, with access to a range of games from Frogger to Bejeweled to Alien Hominid back to Space Invaders. Pretty sweet as long as people don't take my high-scores (they're recorded when you finish playing)

That made me laugh... but really, go join a KRT party, that should cap your divine, healing and enhancing (maybe). Oh, you get merits in the process.

During windows I used to just sit there and do nothing since I couldn't find anything to do<_<, but now I play GU since the second one came out in may and I totally kept forgetting to get it until about last week. Well, I beat it in about four days of non-stop playing, now just to cap everything out by next month.

Late response but... program called DxWnd.exe makes it happen, there's guides on various starcraft sites, it's a little buggy but gets the job done.
