White Memosphere

One of the few maps that I am missing is the Promyvion Vahzl map so I thought I try to get it. It takes the White Memosphere. So I checked out the ffxi wiki and it contradicts itself, on weather or not normal mobs can drop the item. Anyone who actually got this map get it from a non NM? I killed a some of the normal mobs and didn't get the drop.

If I remember correctly from the other prommies, the special type for that zone has a very low chance of dropping a memosphere. And I mean low. Remarkably low. Pretty much non-existent. You'll have a better chance of seeing Rush Limbaugh kiss Hillary Clinton.

I think that the NM drops them either 100% or at least fairly often though. Honestly, I think that you would be better off getting a few people to do the NM pop item. A lot of Red Mages would kill to get the stoneskin item.

Meh, either I got supremely lucky or it's not nearly as bad as people say it is. I'm 1/6 (or 1/7, I forget), 1/10 and 1/8 on the starter ones (all on first floor, 1 spawn, 10 min repop). No idea about the Vahlz one though, was wondering the same thing

I used to go there every week with my NPC for the Tactics Pearl quest. I have killed the first floor special mobs countless times and never saw one drop.

i used to go on nin and put my NPC on the 2ed healer job.

I always have my NPCs on Fierce Attackers. Way back in the day I used to go WHM and let Zoldof do the heavy lifting. When I leveled Atum I either went WAR with Atum on WHM or WHM with Atum on BRD.

Now that Atum's BLU is 30, I may try WHM and BLU/NIN there. Even time where Atum has to rest MP I can still have Zoldof solo provided I have MP on WHM.

thf/rng with a healer NPC worked well in promy zones on the first floor. Spam bloody bolts.

I went 0/40ish dual boxing 2 SMNs on first floor promy "special" mobs.
