EGM says Persona 3 FES is coming to the states as well as Persona 4 being PS3 exclusive. I'm not sure how accurate they are but its in there Feb 08 magazine.

what page..? I can't find it ugh
Wikipedia says page 34
Yeah Page 34 under the rumor mill thing, but from what I've seen only stuff that actually happens makes it there, they seem to be right alot. If it goes like other issues, next issue will have pics/release date, etc.
After looking through lots of stores today I gave up and just ordered Persona3. Reading these threads around me convinced me, didn't really want to in the beginning but everyone's saying it's good, etc.
Anyway, any tips before I get started? Are there missables? I'm a completionist when I play my RPGS. Don't really want to resort to using gamefaqs or whatever since i've never been a fan of following a guide, not that there's anything wrong with it.
If you want to do -everything- in 1 playthrough you'll probably need a guide, but this game also has a New game+ feature if you want to go that route with getting everything.
Trying to do everything will ruin the games experience.
funny thing is the Sears by my house still has Persona 3 on stock for $49.99, I guess no one goes to Sears to shop video games![]()
Nothing's completely missable really. You can end up near the end of the calendar without enough time to finish a certain thing, but that just means you spent time doing something else earlier. Doing everything possible in one game requires complete knowledge of the S-link mechanics or following a walkthrough perfectly. That's what the + game is for.
There are no true sidequests, and all the significant events you're either forced to see or you have to choose between them.
General tips in case you're interested: get main character access to each of the elementals as soon as you can, then get the AE versions as soon as you can. During a shuffle, when the cards go up off the screen and come back down, the order they go up determines their positions afterwards.
Another Protip: Koromaru is made of win and glory with Mudo.Originally Posted by Charla
Another Tip: Final Boss is a joke if you are > 70. I beat him at level 65 with my Surt of ownage as my primary Persona. If you make Surt (Ultimate Magician) and pump him full of Magic Stat boosting items and get him both of the Boost Fire abilities... then you can almost one shot most forms of the final boss. My final party was Koromaru, Junpei & Mitsuru. My three favorite characters![]()
I'll just tackle on the new game+, I suppose.
I have no idea what the heck this means yet but i'm assuming it's nothing overly complicated and will be clear once I start playing the game. Thanks Kazen, Charla, and Vinen for the replies!Originally Posted by Charla
I was lvl 99 for the final boss (hi2u Monad) and I think rape describes it well.
rofl I beat the boss at 65 w/o my Surt and it was a 2 hour painfest.Originally Posted by kazen
Rape is what happened when my friends wife got to the final boss on easy mode at level 99... that was hilarious shit.
I just walked in and he was like Ohhh.... is it that time for me to bend over and take it again...? I never got LuciferOriginally Posted by Vinen
but I beat him up with Susano-O and alot of magic. It did get bad at one point though lol, somehow a death that usually missed everytime killed 3 of my characters, all but the main, so I had to raise them up lol. I think I actually used Messiah for once to raise them, that one really expensive spell which the name escapes me. Oh and I also remember he charmed Akihiko when he was at around 10% health and Akihiko used Diarama (or w/e the max heal is called) and I was thinking, you fucking asshole because the boss went from 10%hp to 100% lol. But other than that, it was such a simple fight it could be considered rape at 99.
Boss was a joke, with or without Lucifer. The atmosphere that was created was truly epic, the incredible music actually made me swoon.
:nikkei:
Is there a lot of talking in the game? I was watching a video on youtube and the voice acting was horrible. I was thinking of buying it sometime this week, but if I have to play another game on mute (PSU story mode ._. ) then I'll just import it
Uhh the voice acting is really good... the only issue I have with it is Fuuka to be honest. And yes, there is a crap load of talking.Originally Posted by Noobta
