Wow. This update has so much potential.
I was never happy with the /SAM update. It didn't fix the major problems 2H weapons had. This looks like they're finalli revamping the system a bit. I'm much happier about this change, than the addition of grips. While I can't complain about the addition of another slot for extra stats (acc/attack/haste/stats), I don't think it will compare to the changes which can result from the damage calculations.The new modifications will be set up so that a character's attribute scores will enhance attack benefits to a greater extent when wielding a two-handed weapon than when using a single-handed weapon. Further, when attacking high-level opponents or enemies with high defense, two-handed weapons will deal more damage than they have in the past.

The delay -3% from grips will *definitely* reduce TP in the same manner that Dual Wield gear does. I'm not sure about their adjustment to the delay calculation, however - that could go either way, and I hope to God that it doesn't change the entire basis on which we have become used to TP accumulation.Originally Posted by Max™

All we know is they showed a really crappy Drk (hi2u AF scythe EVER, much less at 55) with -3% Delay for two handed weapons.
They made hasso/DB affect delay only so it wouldn't break casting timers I assume.

Usually, the ones on my server usually involve 2 or 3 MNK/WARs. DRGs just don't put out enough damage, especially if you go as DRG/mage which is required for a heal-breath.Originally Posted by alphacat

Seems to me they are just focusing on making them attack faster, as to improve their damage over time. Not to increase the speed in which they get TP.

very promising update notes.. I like how mages can also gain from this, although its meant more for 2h melees... They've explicitly said here that they don't want the improvements from the grips alone to be major.. but cumulatively we might see some really good stuff. Hopefully there'll be some grips that also enhance particular JAs along with the minor bonus effects.. like say Enhances Weapon Bash damage, Enhances Jump Tp gain, etc etc. I'm also hoping for a Avatar Perpetuation reduction one for SMN

A heal-breath pt is all drgs maybe a brd or cor. They target Greater Colbiri which are piercing weak, even /mage, drg burns can pull easy 16k+/hr off these. I use to wyvern burn all the time was good fun exp, then I headed shotted my drg.Originally Posted by Whatinthe
