Anyways, can clans actually fight other clans, or do they only fight each other in private sessions?

Not 100% sure, but i see no reason why a Private/Passworded room couldn't be set up for a Clan Battle.

I also seem to remember official word that the Clan Ladder system wouldn't be ready until about the 2nd week of September or so.

Just found this little write up also, few weeks old, but a good read i thought. Gives some more insight into the game and how it "works."
