Capping Shield Skill

Sorry to dig up an ancient topic, but anyone have any ideas about where to cap shield at lower lvls? My PLD is currently 63 and about 12 lvls below cap. I'd like to cap it then keep doin it as i lvl up. thx!

Just fight EM+ mobs, same principle, find ones with fast attacks and low dmg, like mandys.

Stack -Evasion gear.

Go to dyna pld/war.

Aggro aquarius but dont claim it and have a rdm friend cure you.

Same strat for Aqua, but with 2 pucks at a time in den of rancor !

Just get a few friends and go up and skill on faust, if you cant kill it just escape when capped.

I had this same problem when I hit 75 PLD. Except that was several years ago and I used Earth Staff for the last few lvls Q_Q.

Dynamis sorted that out for me.

Where do shield blocks fit in the order of checks for skill? For evade & parry it's: evade > parry > utsusemi > ouch. Does shield check before utsu or after? BTW, I don't play pld. Was just curious in case I someday want to cap it on THF -- current skill is so low it never really blocks anything.

Find an EM or T, and get a RDM75 friend. Capped Phalanx II Vs a level 65 mob makes damage a joke. Wait until you get to level 65 yourself though so you can wear a Shield Torque.
