XBOX360 Wireless PC Controller + USB headset Conflict

I recently purchased the wireless 360 controller for pc to play various different games with (which all work perfectly) but it seems the driver for the usb wireless receiver causes conflict with my usb headset. This conflict causes the headset to sound sorta like an 8bit nes game (lol). The only way to fix it after having both plugged in is to unplug the wireless receiver and restart windows, or manually uninstall the driver.

So far I've tried all the obvious stuff such as using different usb slots, reinstalling audio drivers (even though this shouldn't have anything to do with it since it's a default driver provided by windows) and tried updating the receiver. None of these seem to help at all.

I've looked on other forums and only see a few short threads with no solution or advice, but it does appear this problem is apparent with more then just my logitech 350's. I hope someone will be able to provide some incite.

To be blunt, I don't know of any solution to your problem, but I have to say, the wireless receivers are absolute garbage. I mean, the devices it claims to work with run flawlessly from my tests, but the included software/drivers breaks many other things in the process. For instance, with the provided software that it comes with, it kills full-screen mode on near half of my titles, requiring me to have removed it from my PC just so I could play FFXI (yes, I don't use Windower >.>), as well as it kills the frame-rate on a few of my older titles a fair bit just having the USB device plugged in.
(included one that directly supports the controller)

Regardless, aside from purchasing a 360 wireless headset (which should be compatible with the receiver, which I plan on purchasing in the future, as I already killed 2 of my wired USB headsets with my chair -.-), don't believe there's not much that can be done until Microsoft gets off their ass and provide decent drivers....., it really sucks as the 360 controller is excellent, and god forbid I purchase a wired one.

[EDIT] Actually, just thought of something, have you tried lowering the hardware acceleration for sound and see if it alleviates the problem?
(Start Button -> Run -> dxdiag.exe -> Sound tab -> Hardware Sound slider)
