Sign the petition at the end. Contact your local congressperson and senator. Contact your local news agencies. This is absolute bullshit.

Not any new news if you actually live in the south. Hometown where I grew up still has cross burnings and race riots to this very day. He said 'Lousiana', and that's all I needed to hear to know to write it off as just another day down here.

You don't value you or your family's life very much to take a liberal approach to the problem, or you just don't live down here. KKK may not wear white bedsheets anymore, but they have a lot of off-shoot groups that are still intermixed with police and political organizations. If the extremist groups don't get you, you stand a pretty good chance of getting harassed or beaten until you move by the cops, even if you are a white guy just for being a nuisance.

It's better in metros, where people are more used to being intermixed and there's more influence from northerners, but if a town has more trees then light poles and you're black, don't stop. It's for your own safety, seriously.

That's screwed up both ways imo, from the beginning of that incident things weren't dealt with correctly, and both sides didn't exactly get the punishment they deserved. Some less, some more in the case with the black guys.

Wow, it's a shame that shit like this is still going on. 22 years for punching a kid in the face? Come on...

    attempted murder apparently, lol

same sentence should have been dealt in the black guy getting beat up at the party.

There is obvious problems in this part of the states.

didn't a female elementary teacher get 40 years for failing to prevent obscene popups shown to a class of kids, even though the pc was infested by multiple virus? i wouldn't be surprised this guy gets 22 years.

The story. Apparently the shotgun incident is being covered up or something, and the eponymous 6 kicked a guy in the head while he was down.

Or else Wikipedia is unreliable. Believe what you want.

What if the black guys were the scum of the earth? What if they had repeat offenses? I am not ganna read a story and just assume the people who are in trouble are angels.

How about if you open up with a machine gun in the cafeteria, but get tackled after 3 seconds and don't hit anyone? If I kicked someone in the head, I wouldn't expect him to live, and that would make me an "attempted murderer" even if he wasn't hurt that bad at all.

Nobody said they were angels lol. Nobody even said they shouldn't be punished, perhaps they shoudl. All people are saying is that it's a double standard, and the trial was unfair. When a white person goes into a store and holds up 3 black people with a shotgun and the black people are arrested for "stealing another person's firearm", something is wrong.
