Nice! Mine just shipped from Gamefly today, i am patient, i can wait. I actually sent my last game (Xeno-III) back in on Monday, saw that Bioshock was listed as available "Now" so... i sent in a "trouble ticket" saying that i sent Xeno-III in a week ago and they hadn't received it yet >.> Yeah... all in the name of Bioshock. I suck.

With my 360 being on the fidgety side lately, figure i may as well Gamefly it rather than buy it. I can honestly see this frying the poor Box finally. Oh well, if so, i will have Warhawk and Jeanne D'Arc to keep my ass busy until MS feexes mine. *knowck on wood* though, hoping that doesn't happen.

That stretching or cutting off of the top and bottom is pretty common with most PC games - pretty much every single EA game does that (BF2142 kind of sucks on my ws monitor). Usually it's done when you widescreen formats are not accepted in the in-game configuration and one has to do a .ini or shortcut cmd line hack to get it to run in a different screen resolution.

I'm surprised, however, that since it's a multi-platform release with the possibility of people playing on 16:9 or 16:10 TV screens they didn't add proper widescreen support.

BTW thanks for posting the link to the artbook PDF; I always enjoy seeing the design process and decisions made to go one way or another in media.

    Re: Bioshock

Been playing the game since 10am, and i love it. I love the environment, and the graphics are amazing on my pc. Killing a big daddy is alot harder then i thought it would be, and the death system didn't disappoint me like Prey. In prey when you die you "see your ancestors" and shoot some ghosts to get some health, and you are sent back where you died, losing nothing, except the ammo you used up which is incredibly common. When you die in bioshock, you don't get anything back, all the health packs used and the ammo (which is rather rare) are gone, so dieing sucks ass, even though you get regenerated in a tube.

Man... for some reason this game is unplayable on my PC...

I see absolutely no graphics... everything is blocky after the first CS with the boat or whatever.

Also I don't get a cursor when in game.

Anyone know what might be causing these problems?

I skipped the first big daddy, didn't even consider killing him. They are hard as fuck. 'nade launcher makes them a bit more tolerable though.

Hack the machines around and bring him to them. That's how I beat a few on hard. He's a bit easier on medium.

Natallon, did you upgrade drivers and everything? System specs?
