I hope they do patches for this and include like new plasmids and stuff like that. Hell maybe even open new sections of the city.
Would really make me pick it up in 6 months and play though it again,

I don't care for them either. It's fun to try and get them however, but I'm not going to die and obsess over one achievement that I can't get. My brother on the other hand has over 20,000 points and gets almost every achievement in every game he plays. It's retarded.Originally Posted by Ace-o-fire
Just now I almost got up from the computer and walked away and was ready to never play the game again in my life. I was in Mercury Suites where Suchong's apartment is and I had taken out both Big Daddies and I accidentally hit F9 and it loaded the game back to just after Ryan blows up the submarine that has "Atlas's" family in it. I was so fucking pissed off and actually walked away. Luckily I was able to go to the main menu and hit continue and even though it took away the two Big Daddy kills, it did put me back at the beginning of the level inside Tennenbaum's hideout.
I just got to the midpoint on hard where I harvested the little sisters. It's the same as not harvesting which it shouldn't be. arghhh.
You shouldn't call it retarded or not. It is just how some people like to play through their games. I think it adds great replay value to try and get all the points you can in said game.
If you don't like to do it that is fine, but it really adds additional fun to the game that you would have otherwise not done.
Achievements can add a lot of replay value that would otherwise be missing from a game, so from that standpoint, I really like them.
On the other hand, I have 11 out of 12 "Power to the People" weapon upgrades, and for the life of me I can't find the last station to unlock the "all weapons upgraded" achievement. I need some kind of master list for all of the diaries too, because I have 0 unexplored areas on the map and still haven't found them all. I know I can't be missing more than a few, I have like 13-16 from every region.

Without having done it myself, I would think the biggest changing point between not harvesting them and harvesting them would be where you end up in Tenebaum's safehouse. If that's the case, then damn, I'm only halfway through the game. Luckily I started on hard and decided to not harvest the Little Sisters so when I do it again on medium it shouldn't be as much of a headache.Originally Posted by Semitry
It's the same, will not exactly, the girls respond a little differently, like they'll say I don't trust him instead of he saved me but not really. Hopefully the ending's different but I lost the urge to continue at the moment.Originally Posted by Pyro
I'm beginning to wonder if when you don't harvest them and they give you the teddy bears that have like 200 Adam in them if in the end you wind up getting the same amount of Adam if you were to harvest them.
Seems like you get more if you don't harvest. It's like a teddy bear for every 2 you save I think?? Plus you usually get a plasmid tonic of some sort, rare ones tooOriginally Posted by Pyro

atleast on easy, not sure about hard or medium.
If you're only going to play the game once, you're better off not harvesting. It works out to a little less adam overall, but you get the "good" ending and the 100 achievement points too.
These god damn diaries are pissing me off now, can't find anymore anywhere.
I agree with that. When someone goes out and rents The Mary Kate & Ashley Horse Show to get points, then yeah, they're achievement whores.Originally Posted by Ace-o-fire
Just got to the Medical Pavilion, awesome game so far (and beautiful too..), I just don't understand why the game tries to scare you so badly lol.
Other than that though, pretty cool game.
I played the game in the middle of the day while perpaing some reports. I think I missed out on that scary thing.Originally Posted by Exoduso
It's not as bad as some other games that just turn up the weird music and toss enemies at your face out of nowhere, but it definitely ranks up as one of those games you probably shouldn't be playing alone in the middle of the night heh.
I love it though, and the graphics are pretty damn good too.
Don't listen to Exo, the man, and I use that term loosely, calls Gears of War a scary game!Originally Posted by Ace-o-fire
No I didn't lol.Originally Posted by Semitry

I hate those Hudini guys.
