Of course LAC will still attack others while people are charmed, it needs to be kited by whoever has hate at this point. And yes you should sleepga/bind charmed people, but it is really only neccesary if they are mnk or another melee who didnt switch their weapon before charm hit.

We have done AC with 6. Corvo did CS-nuke at the end, and we had the double Fanatic's and all those other meds to chug.

For BC, we had MNK/NIN, NIN/WAR, BRD, RDM, WHM, BLM for our 6 man attempt iirc, and with a BLM standing by to stun discoid, we really didn't have any problem. It helps that our WHM had mana boost and our BRD uses storm fife, but I don't think either of them are necessary. We cleared in like 10 or so mins.
We didn't have BLM. Vele came THF/DRK, and we learned that BC has a resistance to halved dark magic skill.
    My memory failed me then...

I thought we did 1 6 man BC run with Vale or Kry on BLM that stunned almost all discoid?

Or was that our standard 7 man chariot setup?

Don't have time to debuff them, it's easier to just kite people. The only situation where I would bind someone is when a ridill/war or mnk didnt swap weapon and didnt have shadow on, but it's generally easier to just kite them.

Diaga is used to kill shadow, but it's kinda stupid to do it. When they uncharm, they are going to want those shadow so they can voke/get hate asap

    Re: Boss difficulty

Today we decided to farm 2 Ramparts and head to LBC with 10-15mins (weak LBC) but those fucking gears decided not to get away from eachother for a whole 3mins so they linked and warped, we teleported to LBC with 5/10 gears killed (unweak)

It seems either we're lucky today, LBC didn't spam HM like it always do, or our new strategy worked fine or maybe SE patched LBC? has anyone tried an unweak LBC yet?
I was surprised because we had like NIN SAM THF RDM BRD BLMx3 for it (no WHM) and no deaths only 3 at 2% HP because of not focusing and waiting on the drops.

anyway if you have input about unweak LBC please post, I think if SE patched LBC it's not worth the time to kill 10/10 gears to make it weaker.

Battleclad Chariot doesn't appear to aggro anymore. I used to always run into the room and point BC slightly to the side before engaging, but I walked right up to its face last night and it didn't zap me until I struck first.

PERHAPS BODB'S SLOPS GOT LODGED IN THE MACHINERY.

No more of those Tarutaru BLM walking straight into doom due to autofollow anymore then?

Any of those setups would work I'd think... pick and choose on the last two lines.
For that last mage slot I'm beginning to lean towards dropping a BLU in there instead of a WHM, for Diamondhide/Magic Fruit etc. SMN would work nice too if you have the option.

We've killed all 4 chariots with 6 (including unweakened LBC) The only one that needs creativity is BattleClad. Having your 3rd melee sub whm helps.

Oh, and chariots aggro sneak and are not true sound.

    ^^^

Gauging the difficulty of something from a group that has relic really isn't reliable.

Anyways, what's with the craze of having sams tank chariots that I see poping up after the update? Has anyone tried this?

Having Spharai has nothing to do with being able to kill bosses with 6 people...

I tell people to leave charmed people alone. They run slower than normal speed, so theyre easy to kite.

Is that so? Higher damage = shorter fight, higher counter rate = SS of countering multiple times when shadow is down. Since the fight is shorter, there is lesser drain on mages' mp. Also, where was it mentioned Spharai is the only relic his group had? All I said was, once you obtain a relic, many strategies open up that is previously impossible to do. One of these things is low-maning events.

Hmm, it's not a bad idea half the time, by the time Charm wears off, you'd usually have time to recast shadows since LAC'd be chasing after someone else anyway. Unless you have mages who don't know what they're doing (i.e. not keeping Regen up) it doesn't hurt to keep people bound after Diaga, then it'd only add to the dot in that case. Sometimes Inertia Stream can help save the trouble of binding Charmed players, it doesn't last too long iirc.

Even without binding players or Gravity, kiting the players along with LAC isn't hard at all if they can switch weapons in time. If they don't, then it's more troublesome. We had our Drg kill our taru Whm hitting for 300+ because of some minor confusion at one point and got jacked.

Spharai is the only relic we use (the guy with Mandau usually comes RDM) and it doesn't do anything phenomenally different than destroyers, though yes it does increase damage and counter rate.

Bosses with 6 is doable, but not if your group is a bunch of scrubs.

Problem isn't really the kiting. It's getting hate back as soon as possible. If I have no shadow, I need to recast utsu:ichi before voking, making me waste a good 6-7sec. If have I shadow, i will simply voke/warcry and start casting utsu:ichi after. Stabilizing hate asap will speed up the fight and can avoid some unecessary dmg.

Another thing, chariot won't be spamming tp move at that point, so it will easily catch up anyone without speed+ gears. Kiting people is just too easy and should never be an issue to bother diaga'ing them.

    Re: Boss difficulty

/nod, that's true. Although personally, I've never had trouble reclaiming hate after being charmed, and by the time it wears off, I'm usually half way behind LAC due to it switching targets midway, leaving me with its initial pt member as target. Usually just a voke is enough for me to regain hate and get things back in order, I can't remember a time where I've had to do more than that.

Our 3rd melee on BC is usually just there for cannon fodder anyway

I think you are putting Spharai in the same realm of relics like Aegis and Gjallarhorn.. lol. Spharai does not open up new possibilities like Aegis and Gjalla can, well at least not as effectively.

Having relic weapons don't open up new possibilities at all, it only helps player groups who know what to do and optimize the situation. However, relics like Spharai and Kikoku really shine in Salvage as they're able to speed up the process in getting to the boss or when working in a specific time frame, but that's common knowledge. Everything is already possible without relics; they only optimize efficiency.
