Oh and um arguing that the patriots are too good to... be the best? Huh?

Injuries haven't exactly slowed down the pats in the past... and you're right, having the best team doesn't always translate to winning the super bowl. But having the best team by leaps and bounds as well as having arguably, but probably the best *EVER* qb, coach, and management... yeah it usually will add up. Ask the Cowboys.

That's seriously what the patriots are like now, every bit as good on paper as probably the most absurdly star-studded line-up ever during the no cap period, except there's a freaking salary cap and they're proving to be even better over time...


I really don't like the pats at all, never have, but man this is getting ridiculous, and the only way I think they might lose is if Brady goes down. And they still might even win it all if that happened.


I think a perfect season is possible actually... they are clearly much better than the Colts teams that have approached it recently.

I grew up ~30 minutes from the Silverdome and went to a bunch of a games as a kid. You guys don't know the definition of a crappy team

First football game I ever watched in person was in like 89.

Falcons vs Buccaneers.


This is not your mike vick falcons with ronde barber's bucks chasing them around. This is orange uniform, vinnie testaverde, both teams like 2-14, no salary cap, unbelievable trash level football. The best college teams at the time literally would have had a good chance against the really poor teams back then, and these were those teams.


I know there were under 4000 people there, but I don't remember exactly how bad it was. You can't get a bucs ticket for any game this season outside scalpers right now, and season hasn't even started...



Seriously guys back in my day we had to walk 8 miles to the bar uphill both ways in 4 feet of snow...

I definitely know what you mean, the Lions have had a good number of seasons like that. The Barry Sanders era was decent (at least regular season) but they've won one playoff game in the last 49 years >.> I guess looking at it now their regular seasons were halfway decent because they made the playoffs 6 times from '90-'00 but they never won any of those playoff games. Since then Millen has run them into the ground with a 24-72 record since 01 which is pretty awesome

My response to any of the "What the fuck is going on with <insertteamhere> is... it's the preseason. The stupidest thing ever. Hi gaiz, let's go get our players injured for a full season during PRESEASON.

A little history though, the Colts are like.. 2-8 or so in their last 10 preseason games. Yeah, preseason means a whole lotta nothing.

Oh man I'm hoping that the pats have a bad season, then all the love they get from the press will turn to the criticism that all other teams get. How on earth does the pats' front office get a pass for last year's mismanagement (not having quality WRs cost them the superbowl)? And this year they're treated like geniuses for splurging on three WRs? HELLO, the screwed up last year and realized it! That dosen't make them football geniuses!!!!

That was indeed my favorite moment. If giventhe chance, I remind Dallas fans of that play every chance I get. For some strange reason, Cowboy fans cant seem to stop living in the 90's. This is a "what have you done for me lately" sport.
