Though the intellectual property of Shin Megami Tensei belongs to Atlus, Cave Co. has worked with them to develop a Windows-based MMORPG with a MegaTen focus. Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online was released in early 2007 in Japan and will now be brought to North America and Europe by Aeria Games.

MegaTen Online will feature a real-time combat system with the ability to parry and block as well as attack. The weaponry used in game will feature typical MegaTen diversity, ranging from swords to guns. Another staple to the series that will be available in this MMO is demon fusion and demon team-ups. Like many other MMOs, SMT: Imagine Online will feature private party dungeons as well as public combat locations.

In porting the game to North America and Europe, it will be made available in English, French, German and Spanish. No other details have been released about the game's release other than Aeria stating that MegaTen Online "will soon be released" in a press release.

Seriously, that would just make me so depressed. I've only recently gotten into the SMT series and I'm loving both Persona 3: FES and Digital Devil Saga. I'll probably wait on Nocturne until I've played the SNES games to see if I like that style of gameplay, since Nocturne seems to be readily available on sites like half.com for around $50.

I don't even see the blue "beta" box they describe in like the first step of the guide. This sucks. Are they out of beta keys or something or is the guide just shitty, in which case how are you all going about signing up?

edit: Nvm the directions are just really shitty/old. I am registered and installing the game now.

your missing out. Not saying FF isn't good.. but there are some other really fun mmo's out there that are worth trying at least. But no other mmo will have the same feel as FF (thats good and bad), it's combat has never been mimic'd by another mmo [that I know of]

What I mean is, FF is my last MMO whenever I quit it for good, I'm never going to start playing another one to ruin my life even further.

Like all those people that quit FF, only to just start playing WOW or some other game, good job accomplishing nothing.

Right, because everybody is forced to become obsessed and play to the point of affecting their life. This might come as a surprise but some people have self control and can play MMOs without these sold called "life ruining" effects.

edit: fuck this, I made a char and can't figure out wtf to do. The chick with the visor just shows me a picture of a guy running at the rotating totem pole thing and I do it and click the options and such then talk to her and she says the same thing. Now she isn't talking at all. What the hell.
