Know what is a bannable offense? Backseat modding. And if you're going to make a post that's about 10 times longer than a reasonable OP, expect to get laughed at, especially when it's about dardardar shit like not getting loot because you're constantly at work during events.
Yes, backseat modding is a bannable offense. Thank god I wasn't doing that.

EDIT: Just to be clear and not having this continue any further than it already has:

Re: Why people get kicked from Uber.

Though I agree that rl > game (don't think anyone believes otherwise), I think someone already pointed out the leader was saying that you should find an ls that you can attend the events. However, I think there should/could be some leniency toward someone not consistently attending on a certain day due to work. ie. Even if you can't attend, you're overall attendance should determine your priority. So sure your place in line should be bumped down under others who can and do attend more, but doesn't seem fair to be removed/kicked completely. But thats assuming its maybe one day of the week where LS events take place that you have this conflict in schedule.

Sort of why I prefer the idea of an overall/pooled point system (with decay based on what's attained) determining priority/placement. So if you attend say 10 sky runs, and 5 sea runs. You'd have the same placement as attending 5 sky runs and 10 sea runs.

Though your initial post was a bit lengthy, hehe. Get people interested with something shorter first before hitting them with the hammer (exhibit A) before exhibit B) so to speak). I'll admit I only scanned the first few paragraphs/images to try to get the gist of it.

Its a shame you we're kicked. An LS can be like a family in-game, and it sucks if the leader decides to remove you if you do not fit his designs (his reasons seem questionable from your post, but I cant really judge him as thats only one side of the story). Though I can see you feel a bit frustrated/wronged and need an outlet at the moment... don't let things like this make you bitter, just sling it over you're shoulder and look ahead.

Good luck to you in your next LS. I'm sure you'll find one. D

actually asking people whether RL or the game is more important lol. Someone went a little overboard. People are dicks, it happens.

linkshells with cunt leaders like that are bound to fall apart sooner or later, you might be better off right now lol
a few weeks/months, you might see some elite drama goodness and the ls name tainted with shit, i wouldn't want to be a part of the ls when something like that happens even if i didnt do it/wasn't a part of it... granted, not all linkshells are perfect but if something epic were to happen,,

too bad either way, torque was kinda almost in your reach

Every time I see "rl > game," my mind just sort of automatically translates to "I WANT ALL THE SAME SHIT AS PEOPLE WHO ARE PUTTING IN MUCH MORE EFFORT THAN ME." Looking at the point totals, it's pretty clear that I'm translating correctly. Can't say I blame the leader for wanting you gone.

Did you really feel the need to make a mile long post chock full of SS about getting kicked from a sea/limbus shell because you werent active enough? good god people. You sitting here posting this shows how pathetic your RL > FFXI argument is.

You're trying to enforce the point that it's just a game, but you cared enough to get Michael Moore on his ass.

If you're in a shell of people you can trust, this is when point systems actually *work*. We have people that acquire points as quickly or slowly as they are able and once they have enough to outbid whoever else is lotting, they can get the item they want. Even if they quit the next week. They earned it, the only people that are going to bitch about an item leaving the game are other linkshells. We don't care, we know it's not something that is absolutely necessary to the survival of our LS or proving we know what we're doing (unlike the trash LSes who base their worth on the "omg we have an/this many E/A/lolMBody/Ridill/Def.Ring etc").

So in any case, my point to the OP is that you may want to seek out a shell that may still work around a point system without attendance limitations (and just expect it to be a little longer before you would then get your torque), and that doesn't have a HUGE roster (too many people = failed point systems).

I think the conversation could have gone a little better, though; you did sort of keep egging into him about how things were unfair; that sort of thing is going to put anyone on the defensive, being accused of not being fair (even if it is true). Instead, you should have done the research while he was blathering on about who attends what and presented him with the facts about who actually has what attendance, and yours in comparison, and is getting what first so he would be unable to argue with you about it in abstracts.

As to the people making the comments about it being a sea/limbus only shell, there are a number of them on all of our servers who are branching into HNM/wanting to do so. It's something that should be taken notice of to some extent, so that people who are going to be looking for a shell will have some idea of the way things are run. It's a shame something like this happened in a sea only style shell, now, because it only means there will be more problems among them if they do indeed start Kings with its unpredictable timetables.

I really don't care if you have a job, 6 wives, and 82 kids. If you are not there near as much as person x, then person x gets their shit first. Period.

You think it's unfair that I have more spare time than you? Get a better job, buy some lottery tickets, whatever the hell you want. But you might as well go to your boss and say "hey I only have 20 hours a week to work, but I think I should get the same paycheck that guy working 60 hours a week gets." You'll get the same response there as you will crying about this here.

as already replied, having issues in RL and logging from time to time is perfectly fine if you're shell is friendly. it doesnt grant you to overlot others tho.

I was in one of those friendly shells. Had a BLAST. Got to do a lot of things that most players in my situation would never be able to do. I took the experience as my reward. They would adjust tiers every month and depending on my work schedule one month i would be high on the list next month i would be on the bottom. Did i ever care? Nah, not worth my time. I was honestly just happy to do something other than the normal exp, farm, craft stuff. Yeah so my WAR might never be elite but honestly I had so much fun just tagging along. Why cant people be happy with just working together and getting something accomplished?

Douchebags like that guy end up stealing their entire LS savings and blaming his members on it. You should be happy you're out of the shell.
QFT, Anybody who stays in that shell knowing what he did is setting themselves up.

^ It wasn't that he wasn't on more, in fact, he was on more. the LS leader was using that as an excuse to off him, so to speak.

If you ask me, this isn't a RL > FF? question, it's a hypocrite leader who's playing favorites.

[and all the quotes were hilarious if you're from unicorn and know the names. Though I can see how tedious it seems otherwise]

Re: Why people get kicked from Uber.

You could have much more simply and concisely said, "My LS leader sucks because he's trying to punish me for missing events for RL issues, even though I have much better attendance than others who are receiving no punishment or even gaining standing."

That statement would have both garnered empathy as well as proven that your leader is a douchebag elitist prick and you wouldn't have had to waste the time writing all that up and wasting our time as we started reading and then realized that it was far too long to finish halfway through.
