I started writing this huge post about what really happend between Virus and I, but unfortuneatly, it got deleted because KI timed out. /sigh
I'll try and make this as abridged as I can. About a month ago, Virus and Ryukotsusei told me to come to Upper Jeuno to have a "talk" with me. They told me that my dedication had been lacking. At the time, I was having a lot of real life issues. Virus had known about them. At the meeting a told them again that I was having real life issues and that will be resolved within the week. Virus also told me that some of the other BLMs wanted to try the Novio so he was going to take it back. The details of my mood are not important. Just that I felt like I was robbed. Virus and I are RL friends. When we got our JoL items together, his Love Torque, and my Novio, it was my understanding that the earring was my property unless I quit the LS or quit the game. I guess he must have thought different. What Virus said to me was that I was still the main holder of the Novio, but I have to return the earring to him at the end of every Uber event. The next day, I logged on to do a optional Jailer of Fortitude run. I met up with Virus and asked him for Novio. He flat out said no because another BLM was using it. So, I ran back and grabbed my Abyssal Earring. Kizou attended this optional event. When he checked me and found that I was not wearing my Novio, he inquired about it in PT chat. This is how Jc found out. To my surprise Jc had also been using the Novio. He immedeatly sent me a tell stating that if he had know how Virus had come to obtain the Novio he would not have used it. One of the pearlsack holders of Uber (not Ryukotsusei) was also appalled at how Novio had been removed from my possession. The three of them (from what I understand) argued with Virus for two days. Virus called me on the phone because of this. explaining to me how this was a big misunderstanding, and that he was planning to return Novio in a few weeks. He returned it that evenning stating that if Uber was to fail at HNM, he would be selling the Novio Earring as well as the two Novia Earrings held by Criffin and Iceal. The gil from selling the LS properties would be distributed among LS members. I do not agree with this idea. This issue is still not resolved. What Kiz wrote in his post is what he believes to be the truth. I posted the story from my understanding.


As a final note, I posted this because Virus told me to post the true story of what happend with Novio. I have done this to the best of my ability. It is up to you to decide for yourself.

Edit: When I asked Virus for Novio, he didn't tell me a flat no. He merely told me that another BLM was using it.

Edit again: I have just talk to Virus about Selling Novio Earring and he states that it is only one of the options. He says most likely it will got to the main holders. He wanted me to make other adjustments to my post but I honestly can say that this is what I deem to be the truth.

Wow, Congratulations on recently getting a job Virus. I remember you saying on LS quite a few times that you were unemployed. Since, it's only been two weeks I've been kicked, you must have busy finding yourself something to pay for ffxi. You say that I edited your screenshots to benifit my cause. The reason why some of the other screenshots are edited is because there were certain people who did not want to be mentioned on KI. I was just respecting their wishes.

That point list reflects to our sea runs, we don't use the same system for limbus, the only item ryu has gotten from Sea was altruistic cape, and reason being because we got 5 capes in a row at one point, so it wasn't really that hard for him to get. Yeah I admit though, ryu doesn't come very often to sea, because of work and he has a dynamis shell that he's been going with for more than we've been doing sea. He has been to almost every limbus run, thus why he has those nashira/homam items. Other ppl who HAVE been to Sea very often, did get a lot of items because they worked for it. Kone got her novio and 2 capes, while Mas has homam hands/feet/body and 3 torques. If you notice, those are the ones with most attendance.

It's funny Virus because this is another instance where you show favortism to Ryukotsusei. You stated on your BG post that it is ok if members miss runs due to work, but it is not ok if they miss Uber event due to other in game activities. Isn't that contradicing yourself?

You brought up a good point when you said that the points on the screenshot are only Sea attendance based. I have had perfect for limbus but that is not shown on the screenshot as your LS does not keep attendance for limbus.

You did not have perfect attendance for limbus, but even when you had work, I said it's ok every single time and you're place in line didn't change. You know as well as I do, limbus and sea worked differently. You're complaining about love torque and novio here.

I don't believe in "LS items" to the extent that they're shared through the LS. When someone has something, it should be theirs until such time as they don't want or need it anymore, then they can loan it out as they see fit. They should never be asked to give it back or face having it put up for sale, and the only circumstance in which they should be required to give it up is if they leave the shell (disclaimer: good luck).

The only thing someone should agree to with items like that (hard to obtain but not r/EX) is that they won't sell them without LS permission and that people in the LS get first dibs on it if they do.

Exactly the attitude that has caused us to stop giving Novios to BLMs who haven't truly earned them yet. One person waltzes off with one, and now everybody has to have put in enough man-hours upfront to pay for theirs in full.

Which is how it should be. I was different in my shell's case. I'd gotten a Love Torque from them after being with them for only 3 weeks, but I've constantly have been coming to almost every event since then so I know I'm earning it.

1st. The leader advocated Game > RL, when he himself is unemployed seemingly. Then complains to the OP when he can't attend, cause the OP has work.
2nd. Is now trying to reason with BG saying that RL > Game, when he's already been screenshotted. Twice. Saying that Game > RL.

If I was the OP, I'd start shit up too, people need to know what the leader is like before they get dicked out of more gear.

Ugh, I read most of the OP and following posts but first thing that came to mind hit a really bad cord with me... I'm not talking about this situation in particular but I've come across many similar situations over the time I've been playing that drive me crazy. I just have to put it out there that I really can't understand how people don't see the simplicity in the fact that if people are attending many more events and helping the LS much more often, then they usually (but not always depending on the situation!) will deserve items more than people that put in much less. Even if that person who attends less often is only missing events because of RL activities.

RL > FF events no doubt but that's not really what it's about at all. It's about the fact that people who put in more time/effort into the game simply get more rewards. It isn't to say that someone who misses events often to RL responsibilities doesn't deserve anything but often it does mean that they lose some priority over people that help much more. It may not be fair in some ways because not everyone has a workable schedule, but it's even more unfair to the people that are there every time. No matter how you look at it, whether you have a job or not, every individual sacrifices RL time to play. And as a leader of an LS/player in this game/spectator/whatever it is not your job or even your right to decide whose RL time is worth more; you judge it all equally as it should be. It is your own responsibility to seek the LS that runs a schedule best accomidating for you if you really can't deal with that concept, it is not the responsibility of the LS to work their events around your individual schedule. Otherwise you just should accept the fact that if you have to miss events often because of RL then you lose some priority over the people that still show up and that's all there is to it... And you should understand and respect that.

Of course this doesn't apply for occasionally missing events. Having to miss an event once in a while to RL responsbilities is fine and happens to every person, but missing 50-90% of them is a rather big deal. And it should be obvious... Yet, a person with <10% attendance will get pissed over not having priority on everything over people with 70-90% attendance on the premace that "I came to every single event I could when I wasn't working and have been in the LS like a month longer than them" (over the course of a year+), drives me absolutely nuts. Only thing worse is the person that only has RL responsibilities when they can't get something from the current event. Or, the person that skips all events to exp/etc and shows up when they can get something!

Crap like that is why my LS takes attendance at every event since ~8 months ago. Although we haven't really had any problems like that in a long while now, and they were few and far between... But still incredibly frustrating nonetheless.


EDIT: To make one thing clear... This wasn't really addressing the OP as much as it was me just venting over bad experiences in the past with other situations on a related topic.
