Last time I asked a GM what color it was (called cause a friend and I got locked in ISNM) he refused to answer saying something along the lines of "I'm not getting involved in that". So I assume they get asked that alot.

I think its a mix of UV reactive Blue, Violet and Purple.

So that settles it... its blue! Lots of things turn purple or other dark shades at night.

It is, in fact, purple which is a reference to the US codename for Japanese diplomatic cipher machine of 1930s & 40s. Obviously, Adaberks are actually diplomatic ciphering machines the Japanese are using to spy on Americans. That's why all of the first EBodies went to Japanese players...They were setting up the transmission receivers.

in regards to Izzy's post above, new FFXI armor should include some of that color glow the GMs have. Maybe not so cloudy, but something along those lines. Would be nice to see something different instead of same armor with a new color scheme.
