Pricing an outdated HQ

I have owned a Sheikh Turban for the past few years or so. I would like to try and attempt to sell it but I can't figure out out to price it. According to wiki, the synthing information is as fallows(along with current server costs for materials):

Clothcraft (91), Goldsmithing (51)

Yield: Sha'ir Turban
HQ 1: Sheikh Turban
Earth Crystal

* 1 x Gold Thread (11 k)
* 3 x Velvet Cloth (2.7k x 3)
* 1 x Pigeon's Blood Ruby (20 k)
* 1 x Hippogryph Feather (110 k)


The problem I'm having is in the pricing of it. When it comes down to it is outdated and more recently released gear can substitute or replace it. Current NQ are selling for about 150 k, and the only 4 AH HQ sold each for 3 mil in 2005. In constant bazaar searching I've never seen one of these for sale, so I have no current reference.

Any suggestions?

I'd try about 1M5 at first, then lower like 100k every week. Maybe bazaar for 1.5 and hope to get a bite... gonna be a tough sale anyways. gl

Well I would figure If I was selling It would be that If they sold for about 3mil 2 years ago and the way economy is going I would try at 2mil first then go down 100k like other people were saying.

1.5 sounds about right its tier 1 and tier 1 HQ seems to me to be about 10x hq price for the most part

Doubt you'll get more than 500k unless you get super lucky.

Hmm i didnt really think at all about what the item is/was - and the walhara turban works out to be much better. i think Aurik is much closer unless you find some completist that wants a full hq set

I also was thinking along the same lines as Aurik, I just didn't want to be the bastard who listed so low without confirmation from others that I should. It's a shame, because its actually a nice piece of gear. A good balance between Relic Head and Walahra. But in todays economy, selling for it's worth is just not viable, esp. for an item thats so job specific.
