I'm calling Time Mage, Geomancer and Chemist..
Time Mage seems like a boring job because most likely it'll be one of those generic mage types with new spells...
altho, I'd wonder what it'd give to Corsairs... Haste Roll?

Wait a minute....
Barring another left field job like PUP, I'd call those my choices, too. Time Mage for "obvious" plot connotations, Geomancer because the JPs have been pining for it, and Chemist can potentially offer things to support that other jobs have yet to or at least can to a meaningful degree. Mystic Knight's a bit of a darkhorse prospect in my mind, too. Much as RDMs want higher tiered enspells, slapping them on a job that'll get an A+ great sword skill would seem like a good idea to SE.Originally Posted by Spira
Time Mage has a lot of possibilities... people assume it's going to just get Haste/Slow/Hastega/Slowga... and so on....
I don't see why it couldn't get spells that inflict Slowcast, TP gain inhibitions.... etc...
Didn't anyone else remember SE mention releasing a new form of magic?
Potential spells to throw at Time mage:Originally Posted by Francisco II

Hastega
Haste 2
Slowga
Slow 2 (3? lol)
Stop (a while back I hypothesized that Stop could work similar to Stun, but it wouldn't interrupt an ability/spell, just delay it for 1-2s)
Comet! lawl
Bleed/sap
Disable (makes mob unable to use tp moves?)
And maybe some of the Arcane Magicks from FF12 like Decoy, I imagine Bubble would be too broken in FFXI though. And possibly give them a passive -enmity trait.
What about TP Regen for the party....ohhhhOriginally Posted by Francisco II
Dimensional magic is also within the realm of Time Mage, so maybe they'll get all the teleports, warp, warp II, escape, tractor, and such as well.
I doubt they'd make it a boring generic mage type. I bet they'll make it a very specific mage type to keep it interesting.
Inspired by POS'ing RMT's, S-E releases the new job TIME MAGE!! You too can bend space and time, faster than a speeding chocobo, able to leap tall cliffs in a single click .... how'd I end up in the top of this tree?Originally Posted by Khamsin
fix current jobs before adding new ones please
Cleary Time Mage will get Curse, Plague, Addle, Regain, and Comet. I bet you 100G.
I bet 101G.
not to be a bitch (really), but 5 bucks says the official announcement replaces thursday's news.
Am I alone in hoping time mage won't get haste/slow spells? I'd rather see an all new magic category for them, rather than making them another job with enhancing/enfeebling/someotherrandommagic skill. <<;
Wow, how did I never notice Jason Alexander was Duckman until this very moment?Originally Posted by Elmer the Pointy
Well it's not as bad as some of the other jobs I've been hearing people rant about I guess, there are a lot of things about it that seem game breaking (demi, death, break, stop ect) but hopefully they've found ways around these problems and added new aspects to make the job more enjoyable.
Seriously though, some other these other jobs are pretty out there, I really hope they don't add something stupid.
Am I the only one against any job with the word mancer in it simply because it sounds retarded?
Diablos had demi in other FF's , they just didn't give it to him in this one, same with BLMs getting death / petrify / stop in other FFs.Originally Posted by Cookiemonster
Ruinous Omen is kinda like demi, I guess![]()
