Or let me say "Watch the Intro-Video and you will find out a hint about the new jobs".
Since the video is about the past and then you see the present. Time Mage is possible, if we are talking about time.
Anyway I will let you guys figure it out
Go and watch the Intro-Video (the 5-6 year old one for those who dont know when you start FFXI), I did today over 5 times at the GC.
There are a few things I saw...
Does this mean that it was time mages who casted Meteor and not Black Mages? /panic

If they said that, I'd assume they meant something you see specifically in the video, not something so vague as "since the video takes place in the past, and the past has to do with time, time mage has a high chance of being the a new job".

Like sand in the vagina, these are the Days Of Our Forums.

Not mine, though. The more cool jobs there are, the more tricks RDM's can get, and Corsairs rolls. And as those are my two favorite jobs...TIM (Some call me...TIM!), please.

Watched the vid few times- didn't really see anything special except at the end (around 6:35~) there's a taru in front row with weird looking outift (seems to be wearing blm af hat, but green/white pants)

The new job is obviously Rock Climber. That boy who climbed out the window in the cave will teach you how.

What about a beastmen job that we'll be able to unlock? Any beastmen in the video look like they weren't one of the existing jobs?

Perhaps my vagina is sandy today, and i'm not specificaly referring to this thread exactly. But, speculations about new jobs, much like religion, should just be kept to one self.

    Time Mage
    See also: Chronomancy#Fiction and games
The Time Mage (????, Tokimad?shi?) is a specialized wizard with the ability to manipulate the space-time continuum to speed up, slow down, or completely halt the passage of time; control celestial bodies; or influence the pull of gravity.[32] Although it is referred to as Time Mage in English localizations of the series, some versions call it the Time/Space Mage. In actuality, the Japanese version specifically calls these mages "Time Mages" (????, tokimad?shi). Time Mages have appeared as classes in Final Fantasy V,[32] Final Fantasy Tactics,[5], Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Hataraku Chocobo, commonly depicted wearing tall, pointed wizard hats adorned with star and moon decorations.[32]

Guess the comet could point toward Time Mage. Assuming the person who updated the wiki with this information wasn't just being funny.

If those are Time Mage's in the intro video, it'd explain why they're casting Meteor and why BLM's in the game can't currently cast Meteor. It makes some sense considering that Meteor is a non-elemental damage spell and BLM is an elemental nuker, which infers that Time Mage at the very least will have non-elemental nuking ability with at least one spell. If it's non-elemental, then it won't be based on Dark, Divine, or Elemental magic skills, which then would also explain the new magic S-E hinted at releasing.

Yeah, I just decided to rewatch, too. I noticed the middle taru during the meteor casting almost looked to be wearing a purple BLM AF. At the very end, when they're doing the pan out, there are also a couple taru in different colored magely garb, but I couldn't really discern anything beyond them actually being different.

Well, the simplest way to prove or disprove whether there were any Time Mages in the intro video would be to look at the casting animation. If they are different from BLM, then it's possible. If it was the same as BLM, then we know no more than we did before.
