"Holding" a monster is only against the ToS if one of the following conditions is true:
1) the holding group has no intention to actually kill the monster
or
2) the holding group is doing so with the specific intention of moving the ToD to a more favourable time

I don't know shit except what I have read in this thread, but that tells me that in this situation THE ONLY DOUCHEBAGS ARE THOSE THAT WOULD CALL A GM BECAUSE THEY WERE CRYING THEY DIDN'T GET KHIM.

I dont think thats killing. But 3 plds, whm, rdm and sam is what it takes.

Sounds to me like he got an unlucky Tourbillion. Who gives a fuck anyway? They had two more tanks. Like Ryko said, the fact that you felt you needed to call a GM in order to get Khimaira assures that in fact you were afraid they would kill it, so the way I see it, your linkshell is full of a bunch of useless pricks with sandy vaginas. And don't play that, "We were saving us both some time" card because you probably sat there for 20 hours camping the damn thing anyway.

By the way, if that RDM is subbing DRK that's an easy two-hour kill.

They had 2 plds, 1 brd, 1 rdm, 1 sam, 2 whms, and a dualboxed ridill WAR. More than enough to kill it slowly, but still was like watching paint dry. Regardless, my shell's done worse and 'held' with 5 for 90 minutes before, so, yes Deevo, the GM was retarded for doing what he did, especially since it explicitly contradicted SE's policy.

Aurik's post should be judgment enough. That is SE's own policy, and the GM acted contrary to it.

1) The shell who called the GM was in fact, exhibiting signs of silt buildup within their uteri.

2) Calling the GM was a total fucking tool move, Ryko saying they felt insecure and worried about the low-man group actually killing is well founded.

3) The GM appears, like so many others, to have absolutely no concept of SE policy, or how the game functions. He was probably the same one who responded to a harrassment call in the Aery a few weeks back and told one of our BRDs to stop singing ballad near other players.

Just as a follow up to my original post (the drama shoulda been left outside this forum and i shoulda known it wouldn't) This post was only about the strange circumstance this occured in.

SGM actually issued an apology to me and my team for the decision. He was wrong but could do nothing about drops (wasn't interested in that)

Person in team was unbanned within 30minutes and striking his warning from his record. (first time I've EVER seen someone unbanned)

Mashu was correct. We had 2 plds, 2 whm, rdm, brd, sam. No one ever died until 4 were jailed. We even lived until about 1min after the 4th was jailed (about 1 jailed per min). The Aegis pld lived with no cures up till about a minute after all 4 were jailed. The 4 people jailed in order were: pld, rdm, whm, whm. I was the last whm and was extremely confused about what was happening because i was afk for 90% of the fight working. I came back to see the pld in Mordian zone and wondering wtf that was.

Thank you to the poster who gave me the POL Q&A for reference to send to the SGM. That was what helped me accomplish what i sought and got the GMs to see the error of what happened and apologize for "any inconvenience".

There seems to be a lack of information here.

According to the poster, the GM tried to talk to an individual and was ignored. To what extent he was ignored has not been stated... Did the individual first respond and then begin to ignore when asked to disengage? I see no reason for the GM to lie since he's just doing his job and has no vested interest in this so I'm going to have to be lead to believe that he was attempting to talk and did not get a response. Ultimately after the lack of communication he was forced to make an assessment based off the situation at hand.

What troubles me is the discrepency of the story:

To clarify, when 4 of us were jailed 3 of us had no idea why. One person in our group according to the SGM was told that we were holding and to leave but wouldn't say who because they can't give out player info. And the "we have more on the way" didn't work. They don't care who was on the way they based the decision on what we had there at the time.

So you said "we have more on the way" to who? This points out that you did have some conversation with the GM? or was it the individual which got temp banned? In either case it confirms the first thought up top which is communication was started and then ceased forcing the GM to make his own assessment.

Deevo can you please elaborate what the setup of your 7 person party was and your your strategy to kill the NM exactly? It sounds from the opposing LS that all was done was BIO and if I were a GM that was being ignored, I would have to make the assessment that this was the bare minimum to pretend that you were killing it. Someone else has posted here that they have killed khimara with the same numbers in 1/4 the time. Also can you tell us how long into the battle before you got jailed? It sounds like you were there for at least 30 minutes possibly more?

With the evidence given by this thread so far i would have say the GM was right in the decision because communication was most likely started in some aspect and then cutoff at a later time forcing the GM to assess whether you were holding or not. If I were a GM and all I saw was 7 people only casting BIO then I would probably move for holding as well.

Also if i were being talked to by a GM, I would sure as hell pay attention to whether or not I had recieved any more tells honestly. And i would have to say your 4th individual probably ignored the tells to possibly make a scapegoat in avoiding a GM direct command to disengage. This is probably why the other 3 individuals weren't penalized in anyway but just held to stop the "Holding". I have no idea, however, why only 4 people would be pulled from the fight.

I would imagine with such a small crew, the fight is grossly different than when you have 18+ people there. You can't afford to fuck up during an HNM fight because you were fucking around with tells from an obviously clueless GM. I would have told him I was busy, and could he please leave a message and I'd get back to him after my 7 man crew schooled these faggots standing here with 40 people crying about my claim.

Can you elaborate on what the individuals were doing? SAM not doing anything?
