Issue w/ sharing files between XP and Vista.

I'll try and make this short and sweet. My fiance just got a new Vista PC. She can browse my XP (SP2) computer from her Vista, but cannot add files to my PC, just view/copy them. However I can't even find her PC in my Network group.

Anyone know a solution behind this? I'm guessing it's something simple, I just can't figure it out. Most of what I find via google refers to the opposite of my problem - The XP can see the Vista, but the Vista can't see the XP.

Any help would be awesome, and thanks in advance!

Re: Issue w/ sharing files between XP and Vista.

    On the XP machine:
Right click on the folder thats being shared, "Sharing and Security...", make sure there is a check in the box "Allow network users to change my files".

Open My Computer, Tools -> Folder Options, View tab, Check the first box.
    Download this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

    On the Vista Machine:

    Open Network and Sharing Center.

If network discovery is off, click the arrow button to expand the section, click Turn on network discovery, and then click Apply. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation
The computer is running Windows XP and firewall settings are preventing Windows from detecting it. Check the firewall settings and make sure that file and printer sharing are enabled. If you are using Windows Firewall, see Understanding Windows Firewall settings. If you are using another firewall, check the information that came with your firewall.

This didn't work, actually I restarted the Vista and now my XP isn't on there anymore

All the sharing options are turned on on both machines, but they can't browse each other. Firewall is turned off on both PCs as well.

Any help or direction to help would be greatly appreciated! :D
