    3) I would have maybe used two-handed weapons but since straps suck I'm less likely to

If you thought SE was adding them to persuade you to use 2-hand weapons, and you're not convinced, then that's fine. I still think there's no denying that mages are going to love extra stats next to their staves and Samurais and Dragoons will appreciate the use of the sub slot they've been missing out on. Hell, I'm a RNG and I'm looking forward to adding to my Vulcan's Staff.
#3 fails, because we still don't know the effects of the modified damage formula.

And back to Raging Rush, wouldn't using the Perdu Voulge be a better idea? Much higher DPS, even if it does mean lower crit, plus acc and atk to boot.
I'd have to think so. I mean, people don't use Martial Axe or Retributor for Rampage, why would you use the equivalents for Raging Rush? I guess it does depend on the scope of the general 2h system changes though. If overall 2h DoT was given enough of an upgrade, Perdu will be far and away the best choice, but if 2h power will come mostly from WS, the other two may edge it out.

Shame my Fortitude Axe is probably going to get owned by the changes.

Part of the reason nobody uses Retributor though is the larger-than-normal delay. Of course, if you're interested in speed for G Axe, there's always Fort/Amood/Wardancer.

We already knew they were. That doesn't mean they can be equipped regardless of the type of weapon you have equipped.

As a courtesy to other .dat modders and players who like to .dat modify their characters

Be wary, friends, as all your .dats will be replaced by the original factory fresh FFXI files for fun.

The (delete/change a .dat) restores all the originals @@........................

    Maybe.

My initial reaction is to wonder where the rest of the Bowman and Breeder's sets are. Presumably they would be new sets added to assault. Perhaps there are more files? Seems very odd I guess.

Also, if the "Star" ring and earring use Star Saphire, what will the "Crimson" items use? Adding another mission of the same type where Star Sapphire is obtained?

I was wondering that myself. Is that everything?
