some of these new (ear)rings seem strange, kinda like I've seen em before

other than the extra HP, they're identical, complete with a HQ counterpart (Harmonius Ring).

If the picture fits the other shields, it's size 3, a kite shield. AKA same size as Kaiser

naaa dont think so
can match any with any weapon as long as its 2handed,+mp and -enm is rather useless tho if youre DD =p

only restruction may be the jobs that are allowed to wear
