Wamoura Prince depops

Possible newb BLM solo question.

I've been 75 for {long time} but this weekend was my first real encounter with Mount Zhayolm since I soloed to 75 and capped buffer in Al'Taieu and I merit on other jobs. I staked out a nice little spot on Vozold southwest beach near the King Apkallu. There are 2 Princes on the lower level who repop right on time to chain with no link danger.

But...
I kept losing chain to them depopping! Is this a common problem and is there a way to minimize it?
To clarify, I'm not running halfway across the zone, I'm within casting range full time. If I'm lucky, I'll notice the name go yellow when I'm not casting so I can hit Stun or Drain, but in some cases it would go yellow immediately after one nuke lands--my second nuke wouldn't complete fast enough and would cancel due to no target. Would it help to Bio them or something? There seems to be no pattern or warning to when they suddenly stop and go yellow.

It is common, but it really shouldnt be a problem. Just be aware if its still comin after you before you cast a tierV/AM2. Definatly dont DoT it because you will need to sleep em occasionaly.. Btw Ebony Pudding is way better exp to solo, but also takes more skill and a really good gravity macro.

It's a common problem, you just need to be aware that it happens and keep an eye out for it. Even running windower and paying attention to the distance plugin (since I'm usually running away and can't see the mob, this is my first indication it has stopped) I still sometimes miss them stopping and lose the chain.

I don't recommend puddin to anyone who is not a vetern at blm solo. It's much easier to die to puddin, while wamoura, although slower, is a lot safer.

Ever since the Hate/enmity patch last year I would would have mobs de-pop on me all the time. Farming Organs for relaxing earring, soloing Marids, killing statues in sky...

Usually it's because you'll out-run them after you gravity them and they just lose hate regardless of how much damage you've done. Prince's are pretty slow and move at a crawl with Gravity so you need to keep well withing range of them. I usually try to rotate the camera to keep them im view so I can tell when/if it'll de-pop.
DoTing them might help to keep them from losing hate and de-popping but you lose out on Sleep I/II in case you run low on MP after some shitty resists.

It's usually a terrain glitch and the mob loses sight of you. When running up hills or around corners. You can use it to your advantage soloing but it can be a pain if you don't expect it. Just keep track of where and how it happens to avoid or use it. Not much you can do otherwise, generally it's when you run up little hills and terrain changes the monsters line of sight.

If you're soloing and this happens, stop running and throw a quick stun. You usually have a good 3 seconds after the mob turns yellow to stop it from repoping.

You just need to stay close. When ever I solo on BLM, I try and be in the 17/18 range because it gives me a safe distance to cast and still manage to keep the mob coming after me. If you do happen to lose hate on it, just throw a quick stun and get it back.

I like to keep my camera panned so im running towards my screen and I can see the princes coming after me....so if they happen to stop, i can toss a tier 3 or a stun the second they stop. Works great and they never depop. :D

I always wondered if there wasnt something that removed the scent in zhayolm. That would explain why they unagro so easily

you can handle it easier if you start with tier3(forces curled mode), tier4, drain(*), AM2(pendant latent will be on), finisher(pendant)

*the drain, where it is in the line of nukes, keeps the claim (at least in my experience)

I think that weather effects may cause mobs to be unable to track by scent. I've had a King Buffalo go yellow and depop while in melee range once. (Stun wasn't up, I guess I could have wacked it with my staff or something )

With Princes I think it happens mostly when there's weather and I stand behind one of those little broken wall thingies.

About the tracking weirdness: Maybe it's because they follow by Sight and not Scent like most mobs?
