Vicodin questions

I've had this pain in my leg/back area for two weeks now. About to go to a real Dr. tomorrow. Took some(two 750mg) Vicodin yesterday and didn't help much. Pain didn't go away and just felt a lil groggy. I was under the impression that Vicodin was supposed to be the most badass pain-killer. I have kinda a high tolerance to drugs so this might be why they didn't work.

Since I'm going to the Dr. tomorrow iono if he's gonna give me vicadin or no. And am just wondering if it's right for me since I already had some and didn't really feel anything. I am pretty well experienced in the drug department, so I can tell what kind of effects stuff has on me. So it wasn't that I was a noob and didn't know it was taking effect. And don't worry I won't get addicted.

Questions:
Vicodin has gotten a lot of hype, so I was wondering what do people feel when they use it.
What kind of side effects does it have?
My gf said she took 250 mg and knocked out. For me it did lil to nothing.
Anyone notice a change in sex drive?



Any additional info on it? Any help is appreciated TY! ^^)/

Vicodin did nothing for me at all when I was on it. My doctor then gave me Darvocet and it was fucking amazing.

Back when my tonsils were giving me hell i took vicodin and prednisone (reduces inflamation i think?)

Vicodin did ok with pain... and made me woosey

However, not sure which one it was (however i'm inclined to think the steroid) supressed my sex drive significantly

I have damn near a pharmacy in my medicine cabinet. Have oxycodone, hydrocodone(loratabs), darvocets, etc. I prefer loratabs to them all Make sure to get the 7.5 or the 10s. The 5's are suck.

I like Vicodin, but it doesn't do anything for my pain about.. 30-40% of the time. About 50% of the time it makes it from 'OMFG OW' to "wow i'm fucking sore". 10% of the time it takes care of it..

I also like my Tylenol 3 with codeine for when I can't sleep worth a damn and my entire body feels like it was run over with a lawnmower.

Are you like a pit-fighter or something? I take pain meds maybe twice a year - who is hurting that much all the time?

I've had Ketamine, Morphine, Dilaudid, Percocet 7.5s, Lortab 10s and Lortab 7.5s over the past 3 weeks for my shattered plevis and broken hip.
The Ketamine was the bestest, it was a fun time when they had me on that. Morphine was the second best, warm and fuzzy is the best description. Dilaudid I only got once for my second ambulance ride but it just made me sleepy and not care about my pain. The Percocet's I double up on every four hours and I did that once they took me off morphine in the hospital up until about 4 days ago. I built up a pretty big tolerance so near the end they didn't seem to do much, but I was able to use them to sleep, if I needed to. The Lortabs mainly make me a bit warm and fuzzy, don't really notice it for sharp pain, but more for sore pain. Sharp immediate pains still hurt, but the ache of a broken pelvis and hip that have been internally fixated isn't there like it is when I'm not on the Lortab. I can also use it help me sleep too. I'm down to taking two or three Lortab 10s a day, usually at night before I sleep and whenever I wake up in the night.

Vicodin makes me sick and knocks me the fuck out in like 15-20 mins. I have to eat food with it, and half a pill usually does me in haha

Best painkiller I ever felt was Demorol...when I got my tonsils removed. Hoooooly shit that stuff was awesome. Never felt so awesome in my life haha

Knocked me out for a while, but I was...lucid...when my parents came to visit in the ICU. It was like my body was dead but my mind was awake, haha. For the first time, I could really see myself becoming addicted to something.

I would not take any more, in case he wants to put you on something else, there can be problems with co-acting meds (that's not the right word, but you know what I mean?).

Personally Darvocet are teh way to go. I have a shitload from my last car accident still, and that literally is the only thing to kill my killer girl cramps.

If it doesn't work, try to lay off it. I get a script of vics but in order to take any effect I have to take 7-8 in a 10 hour period of work. (750s) They can shut down your liver very easy too. Oxy's are a great pain pill but very addictive...you can also be arrested if you don't have a script of em (most don't, are given to mostly cancer patients.) Darva's are a piece of crap after taking them for over a month. For a leg pain, I'd say ultram, though like the dava's they turn out to not work well after a while. Lortabs would be DECENT, and is less damaging on your liver. Its like a vic but without the tylanal. Morphine and deliada(sp) pills don't even work much for pain...are more for a warm and fuzzy feeling...at least thats the way I see it.


Oh, btw once you get used to vics as well as oxy's you will WAKE UP when you take em. They give you more energy then a redbull.
