well even if the cor is stopping on a 6 pre-patch, thats still MAB+8, greater than a Novia, of which people pay 20M for. Thats not including the ability to erase busts, or snake eyes, which would bump to MAB+9.Originally Posted by Kerberoz
Post patch, stopping on a 6 will always grant you a minimum of MAB+9.
Hardly seems pathetic at all.
I'd be happy with a 20% MAB from an 11. Right now you can just subsitute another blm in to make up for the COR MAB roll.Originally Posted by Kerberoz
Melees get 41% attack bonus with drk and 11. In a PT with a brd and cor melees can easily get 999 attack. But a 9% MAB isn't pathetic in comparison huh? riiiiiiiight.
True, but the COR is also providing Refresh and/or Magic Accuracy, plus hopefully adding some damage and debuff enhancement of their own via Quick Draw. Wizard's Roll is just icing on the cake.I'd be happy with a 20% MAB from an 11. Right now you can just subsitute another blm in to make up for the COR MAB roll.
And in the melee world you can substitute a melee for the melee dmg lost ?Originally Posted by Angelsin
Pretty shitty argument on your part.
i consider BLMx5 COR to be nothing to cheer on about. ppl or LS mates ask for that but I don't see how it could work out nicely since Wizard Roll itself isnt that groundbreaking.
BLMx4 SMN COR is much, much better; and so is BLMx4 RDM COR.
Do blm's REALLY need a boost on damage for HNM's ??
Not really, cor's are just to get those ZOMGEPEEN shots.
Hadn't really merited on COR before updated but I've been trying it out today and yesterday and I must say, it's pretty nice. First PT was SAM WAR RNG(kc) COR BRD RDM and 2nd PT and SAM WAR WAR COR BRD WHM. I've been using Chaos Roll/Corsair's Roll and the BRD was using Minuet/March. Pulled close to 30k/hr earlier at Colibris. I never really used COR much before except for some HNM /whm but I threw together a fast DD setup and it worked out pretty well. TP'd with joyeuse and Slug Shots averaged about 1k. Also, did quite a few of these on Berserked Wivres:

Seemed like that was what my dmg was capping out at, never did any higher. Gotta start working on a better setup for RA/WS. Anyways, I now prefer COR+BRD > BRD BRD... but they both have their pros/cons.
In all of the mage parties, theres almost always a bard in there to refresh the BLMs. So I think in my opinion that a COR will be a much better job to put in that spot instead of BRD. We can give refresh as well as Magic ACC or attack bonus, like what Kylen said. With how evokers roll is now, you'll rarely get a 1 tic evoker plus you have those added buffs. Much better than BRD in those situations definatly.
I went as a 65 COR once to a Bahamut v2 fight and the ninja definatly loved the increased slow from earth shot. ;o
Who changed the wiki values for 4 on Hunter's Roll that it gives 51 acc? I think they made hunter's roll percentage based because 51 acc for level 10ish would just be major hax. Or maybe they have it scale to the cor's level now?
Well didnt want to make a new thread about this and just had a question about quick draw. I was wondering if magic accuracy really affected quick draw? Tried searching and all it brought up was "well MAYBE it affects i dont know for sure though" type of answers. Having a hard time deciding what ring to get from ToAU lol
Still no more than anecdotal evidence, but I doubt there are many COR's that have experienced a high resist rate mob both without and then with Warlock's roll who would tell you that Macc doesn't affect quick draw. In my experience it is a pretty marked difference.Originally Posted by Falisa
Anyone do any testing with hunters roll at lower levels to see if it scales to level or percentage base?
Spider-Dan took this data from a Lv 67 COR:Originally Posted by LinktheDeme

| 3 | 14

| 6 | 18 (I think this was wrong and should be 20)
| 7 | 23
| 8U | 5

..and came up with this when scaled to 75:

| 2 | 14
| 3 | 16
| 4L | 45
| 5 | 20
| 6 | 23

Delekii seems rather sure that a 4 without a RNG gave 39-41 Acc, which would validate the original Lv 67 data (not the scaled to 75 data). That would lead me to believe that they've changed Hunters from a flat bonus to a % based one. I'm certainly not 100% sure of this, and you'd have to ask Spider-Dan why he assumed it had not changed to a % form. But it would appear either Delekii's finding of 39-41 Acc for lucky Hunters with no RNG is incorrect, or it does not simply scale as Spider-Dan has shown.
I suppose I'll make use of this mistaken double-post.
As with what Delekii said, it's not proven by any means, but the general consensus is that magic accuracy does effect Quick Draw accuracy. In terms of choosing a ToAU ring with this in mind, also consider that Jalzahn's has 6 AGI in "Assault" areas - and we certainly do not yet know how 6 AGI compares to 4 magic accuracy for Quick Draw accuracy.Originally Posted by Falisa
51 acc seems crazy!
Now all we need is some dune level cor testing action going.

Subbed War, Fire staff, MEat, and Drk Roll if I remember right.
On another note: anyone got accurate info on Fighters/Rogues roll yet?
Tested in Dynamis after last update.
SAM/WAR with stage 4 GKT in pt with a DRK. Chaos Roll brought me to 907 attack, and after kaiten's store tp, i was getting 23tp return per swing with samurai roll.
Simply amazing.
I'm beginning to have wild-eyed dreams of 25tp per swing with askar korazin and usukane feet to augment my current store tp setup. The thought of two successive double attack procs taking me from 0-100% is just... well... wow.
It should be noted that was with double Minuet and Angon active. Still, I can confirm the massive Slug Shot damage on Greater Colibri. Without a BRD, I was getting 1.8-2k Slugs, which would be in line with 2.8k if you added 2x Minuet and Angon. The steel bullets and vastly improved Chaos Roll are night and day.Originally Posted by sephir
As far as Rogues/Fighters data, take a look on page 2 here - kylen has the JP wiki data for those pulled out. Still needs more testing, I think, so it's tentative.
