I wondered that at first too, but I believe they're Lv.30 to equip. Has there ever been an event item that wasn't Lv.1 or 2 to equip?

Maybe they are event items, but Fancy/Dandy are the HQ versions and Redeyes are the NQ? Redeyes are level 1, right?Originally Posted by Pyree

The hell? not listed on somepage/ffxi wiki or anywhere else that I can tell. ideas?
Hmmm... Sorry if I seem to be dragging on this thing about the Dandy/Fancy Specs, but I can't seem to find any site that claims these items to be Rare or EX, which would lead me to believe that they aren't event items. Have there been any event items before that weren't Rare/EX? Or are the items actually marked Rare/EX and no one caught that?

Anyone have a pic of a totem pole in a mog house?I'm kinda interested to see what it looks like.
On the lvl of the sub, I'm able to make em with a 28 Smithing sub but I'm getting skill up, still getting skill up @29, so I believe it's either 30 or 31 smithing sub. 0 breaks out of a synth of 12.Originally Posted by dawnfire
Sure do. After visiting the WW guild after the update, and seeing this was by far the easiest/cheapest to make, rushed to make one. Just hard to catch wivre horns on ramuh ah, and I was too lazy to farm.Originally Posted by Pyree

ok that is badass.
Time to hit up my woodworking buddies for a nice addition to the moghouse, and commence the "huhya huhya huhya" 's.
1 storage with that huge ass thing? for shame.. oh well badass makes up for it enough
It sure look ugly.![]()
Especially next to my hobby bo. (Have seen pics of red and blue, so hopefully no one already posted a green). Totem hogs up 6 tiles, hobby bo takes 2. But I like my ugly pole.Originally Posted by Winter85

Has anyone checked the elemental strength of wood chocobos? Also whats with the Ngoma furniture needing a Divine log? O_o
just another entry in SE's list of "what were they smoking" furnishings. other entries for the top place are the bronze rose, crystal rose, shell lamp, thurible, alchemy set, and the crown jewel of the set, the rook banner with its siren's macramé in the ingredients list. this is just another way for SE to get you to "drink your togi" along the lines of the lolibation abjuration. i've spent a lot of time trying to figure out their motivation behind these synths, and it really just doesn't add up. it's totally irrational unless their goal is to add a "zomg" item to keep people working to get and thus in the game.Originally Posted by Darkyrm
There are two dye options, one 50 bucks and one 75. You want the 75 one to make a bo. The other way to make sure you're getting the right one is by the menu. One is like 'powers and abilities' (exact wording?) and the other is 'items', you want the items one.Originally Posted by elphaba
I have no idea if the item dye can actually be used on a real chocobo or not.
Fortunately or unfortunately, they seem not to be very strong. I haven't had time (or desire -- too much crap on me right now, can't get stuff out of storage so I can take things out of layout) to test it for an actual number, but even adding two blue hobby bos didn't make much difference at all.Originally Posted by elphaba
Two blue bos, two ice lamps (cost me 300K each to make >< ) and I was able to take one bronze bed (6 strength, I think) out of my layout. Blah. (At least both the bos and the lamps look cool though!)
That Hobby Bo look just nice for a taru to rid on.Originally Posted by liafail

I have the dye and all the other stuff for my red one, I'm just waiting for my woodworking friend to log on. Once he makes it for me, I'll post a picture.Originally Posted by elphaba

And speaking of which, how long does it take the dye to wear off? I dyed my bird blue by mistake, conquest has passed and I got a new whistle, and he's still blue. >< I want my red bird back!
